Worked great and the built in chokes work well to minimize RF interference. I use this between my IC-7300 Ham Radio and my MacBook Pro for digital modes. I Had a normal one before (no chokes) and it often caused issues with dropping the link between the radio and computer. Took a while to figure out what was going on. Once I replaced it with this it is much improved. I would also recommend to get the shortest one you need as the longer it is the more surface it has to pick up RF signal.

I bought two, and I chopped one of them up to see how well it was made.

I can confirm that there is complete metallised mylar coverage around a two layers of braided wire shielding. The data lines inside the shielding are twisted, like they should be. The chokes are also legitimate ferrite rings.

I love it when manufacturers are honest.

I'm a ham radio operator and was getting all kinds of RF back into my computer systems on certain frequencies. My monitors in particular were really messed up, and my system would sometimes lock up... so I replaced my original USB cables with these cables with the ferrite devices and now I have no problems. My rig CAT control was the culprit. I had tried ferrite devices, toroids, and nothing worked nearly as well as these cables, and they're a lot cheaper than the other devices I tried. A simple, inexpensive solution.

A cable's a cable right? Well, a crappy cable is just that, a crappy cable. I had a A/B cable that I just found laying in a box of cables, probably from an old printer and used that to connect my external DAC to my laptop. I would have weird power issues on my DAC once in a while and I'd have to unplug and replug the cable into the laptop for it to work. I figured I'd just get a new cable since it was bugging me enough..

I found this cable and given the price, I figured it wouldn't be too much of a risk trying it out. Well, I'm happy to say that the cable is of high quality and there have been zero issues since replacing my original cable. I would happily buy more Tripp Lite cables without hesitation.

I recently bought a used Chord 2Qute DAC, which arrived without any interconnects. I tried it with a Hi Speed USB cable, but I had mixed feelings about the results. The new cable arrived today. I have only listened to one and a half pieces of music, so far, but the sound has improved more than I had dared hope. Before, the 2Qute had sounded "technically" better than my old DAC, both in sonic and musical terms, but it didn't add up to the kind of improvement that I would have expected from a much-hyped product. Now it does...

I noticed a slight crackle coming through my speakers when I unplugged the basic USB A/B cable going from my android box to my dac and onwards through my power amp. I had assumed the various layers of protection in my components (about 5 grand's worth) would prevent stuff like this, but alas, no-so it's off to amazon to pick up an upgrade on my usb cable - perhaps the one item more than any other to make hi-fi naysayers (and me too tbh) sneer. But the thing is, it works. Not only in getting rid of the crackle but actually improving the sound too. I can't stand audiophile jargon so I'll just say that the bass is obviously far better defined and the treble less splashy. For the price of it this is probably the best bang-for-buck upgrade you can make.

But they didn't filter out anything.
Unusable due to much interference.
When you plug in the cable from the laptop into IC7300 the scope goes off the chart +60 db of interference.
