I really enjoyed the original Cake Mania, none of the sequels are as much fun. Cake Mania:lights, camera, action is designed to take after Cake Mania: Main street. There is the cake store, ran by a pregnant Jill and her hubby, there is a clothing shop and an Italian bistro. It plays just like cake mania main street. The hardest store by far, is the clothing store. It is more difficult than the flower shop in main street. There are new customers throughout, and the madness is fast paced and fun. If you are a fan of the Cake Mania series, you will not be disappointed with this game. I couldn't give it a 5 star rating because I feel the clothing store is ridiculously difficult, thereby making it more work than fun. Something new is called the relaxed mode which plays without the clock and you have a set number of customers to take care of, while trying to get the highest score.
I love the other Cake Mania and this one might have been just as fun - but when I downloaded it, my computer alerted me it had a virus that it said it corrected, I deleted it anyway. I let Amazon know so they could correct it for future downloads and they assured me they check their products and so I got the feeling that they thought I was trying to get it free even tho it was only $2.99. I'm a little gun shy on downloading further games.
I'm a big fan of the Cake Mania games, so I decided to give this one a try. I'm not impressed. Some of the levels are just plain frustrating, not really any fun, because the game doesn't register half of my commands and the customers are just too demanding. Difficulty increases too quickly for me to keep up with the customers' demand. Honestly feels more like a chore than a fun game. I'll stick to the first 4 games.
The Cake Mania series is fun but this particular download glitches quite a bit. There are upgrades your character can purchase in the game unfortunately, certain ones causes my game to freeze. Also, clicking on items within the game often don't work. I'll have to click constantly or be Very precise in the mouse placement. I wish I'd gotten the game elsewhere. 7 bucks WAS too good to be true.
The came seemed very short. I know in the story line Jack sold his Burger Barn; but, I still missed not playing it. I did like Risa's clothing store as opposed to the flower shop. Also, there wasn't anything to buy around town with the points you accumulate. I played it in timed mode and then in relaxed mode and relaxed mode is very boring. I didn't see the point in relaxed mode. The game is about preparing orders as quickly as possible; however in relaxed mode the time is removed. Customers still turn red but it doesn't matter because the game will keep going until the player meets the goal. One cannot get the Supergoal in relaxed mode.

i loved the fast pace of this game. you must be good at multitasking as this game take you for a wild ride. i can not remember if i beat the game, but i think that i was very close. this game will most definitely keep you amused, awesome game, applause applause
