Great idea and product, but still need some improvements to get 5 starts

The Aquanotes are great. The only downside if you don't write that frequently and the first sheets are exposed to water for many showers, they'll stop losing the impermeable cover. But if you're a frequent shower writer and rip them off at least once a week, it'll be ok.

I purchased this item because I am the kind of person that comes up with "brilliant" ideas in the shower. While it serves the purpose of enabling me to write on wet paper, there are a couple of problems. The suction cups periodically fail and I need scissors to cut the paper off of the pad.

Perfect gift for students or someone with anxiety or attention issues

For someone with mild ADD or anxiety as I have, this was life changing. It seems silly, but for anyone with a busy life or just stressed anyway, this is one of the simplest, most valuable things I can think of. Beyond that, have 5-starred it because I've had one for 18 months and can't find any flaw or way the product can be improved. It's simple and does what it's supposed to.
So why do I say life changing? Rule number one when under stress is get things out of your head and captured somewhere so you can actually focus on whatever task might be at hand without worrying about forgetting. If you then have or build sufficient habits of planning and staying organized and prioritized, there is instant assurance that the thing that came to mind will be dealt with and can be let go of, mentally. The shower was the one place I couldn't capture anything and often where everything came to mind. (side note and tip assuming anyone reading this might be retracing my own challenges: second hardest was the car: a Google Voice number just to leave myself voicemail, and a solution for handsfree dialing was the answer).
One alternative or supplement to consider: Bluetooth Speaker with LCD Display, NFC, FM Radio and Subwoofer Effect- Shower Speaker with Crystal Clear Sound and 3 Firm Suction Cups - Hands free speakerphone
While having the time visible, and having music in the shower are both nice, the Bluetooth function allows access to the voice commands on my mobile, to take a memo, set a reminder, schedule something, etc. But voice recognition over the noise of a running shower isn't 100% reliable whereas the pencil has so far been.

Good product for reminders and the ideas you get in the shower

This pad is a very good idea. I've found it useful to write down lots of ideas and reminders that came to me while I showered. I have ADD, so this helps me to write things down so I drive my wife less crazy. Why didn't I give it 4 or 5 stars? The pencil doesn't write all that well. As far as a I know one can't use an ordinary pencil with it. I wish it had more pages because you will find yourself going through the ones provided rather quickly, especially if you get a lot of ideas. The pages aren't perforated so they don't tear off very easily. I'm not really sure if the pencil provided is water proof over the long run.

Regardless of these shortcomings, I would still recommend it to anyone who gets there best ideas in the shower or has ADD like me.

An Awesome Addition to Your Shower

If you're looking for the perfect way to be able to write stuff down in the shower, look no further. It is everything the description says it is.

I've written on about half the pages in the notepad, front and back; haven't had to sharpen the pencil, the eraser is still like new, and the pages are still waterproof! I was a little hesitant as I thought that it might have been difficult to write on, but now that I have been using them for about 6 months now I'm extremely glad I bought them.

Pros:
* Durable waterproof sheets
* High quality pencil with eraser makes writing in the water a breeze
* Great for if I'm lost in thought while taking a shower
* Helps for not forgetting all those great ideas!

Cons
* Pages seem to stick a little when dried. However, once you hop in the shower again they stop sticking.

If you are like me, thinking in the shower happens on a deep level. I've had many business ideas while getting ready for the morning. This notepad allows me to never miss the opportunity or forget one of those great ideas!

Works as intended, no more shower thoughts down the drain

Works exactly as intended, bought a few more, I take lots of r/showerthought notes in the shower, and normally I'd just memorize all the notes in my head while i take my however-long i choose to shower moments

The suction isn't that great, that would be my only con. It tends to fall off every now and then. I'm no expert at this, but my gut instinct is telling me that hot showers, the steam and vapor rising upwards, is causing the vacuum created by the suction to fall off. As temperature changes from cold to hot back to cold, I believe there's a tendency for this thing to fall off. I'll have to whip out a phase diagram to really explain this, but my point is, this thing does fall off every now and then, granted, not as often Eureka! Okay, so this thing as 40 pages of paper. Which i take about maybe 1-5 notes per day, which isn't too bad, I don't take shower notes all the time

Build qualitywise. I'd say, it was a pleasant surprise how durable this thing was, and how easy it was to write the included hydrophobic pen. I could dry off my notes, bring it downstairs, translate it on the computer, ETC. Also, you can rip off notes pretty easily too, its not that difficult

I was so pleased with this that I ordered 2 more. Because I don't want an idea going down the drain because i didn't have something to take notes on

CONS:
- Falls off every now and then, suctions not always perfect for every wall
- I really wish it came with some other color options at the top (you know where the brown is), so i could distinguish between the other 2 of the same product that I bought
