I would just like to know how in the world he was able to pull off all that he did. The film didn't disclose that but I thoroughly enjoyed it all the same. An example of how, as Sandra B said in the film, "...there's a difference between emotional intelligence and occupational intelligence." [paraphrased]. Very interesting.

Bogus Clark Rockefeller's financially supportive un-legalized wife, who earns over a million a year which he controls, discovers he is a phony but stays with him because it has advanced her career in finance and gotten her financial company the City of New York as an account. He is exposed as a Rockefeller impersonator, convicted of murder and sent to jail. His former wife in name only maintains her career and is financially successful. An excellent and well acted movie that demonstrates people will believe what they want to believe regardless of the facts if it is in their advantage to do so.

I rented this movie on a lark and enjoyed it. It really is not bad at all for a TV movie although it leaves out a lot of detail.

It whetted my appetite for the book, "The Man in the Rockefeller Suit" which tells a lot more. The movie focuses mostly on the period when the faux Rockefeller kidnapped his daughter, then tells the story of his marriage in flashback form. You get only a brief glimpse of his life before that point, even though that earlier period of his life is really just as interesting. I guess you'd need a four hour movie or more to really focus on the earlier events.

I believe this film does go too far in unfairly prejudicing the viewer into thinking that he may have killed two people. There is some circumstantial evidence that he may have done that but the case has yet to go to trial so the film should not make such broad insinuations.

The most interesting thing would be if Rockefeller, aka Gerhartsreiter would write a book himself, but that is not going to happen as long as he is behind bars.

Overall a decent portrayal with reasonable acting.

This gives a good look at the German immigrant who changed his identity several times once he came to America, finally becoming a "Rockefeller." If you are interested in following his murder trial, which begins 3/18/13 in Los Angeles, check out veteran California journalist Frank C. Girardot Jr.'s new book. "Name Dropper: Investigating the Clark Rockefeller Mystery" lays out the murder case against the phony Rockefeller.

Eric McCormack, you rock! I loved you in "Will & Grace" and really thought you were a great comedic actor. But your performance in this movie was superb. If you are an Eric McCormack fan, this movie is tops!

This little made-for-TV movie is based upon a true crime story. It held my interest enough for me to do a little research to learn the progress of post movie criminal case against the protagonist.
