EXACTLY what I was looking for.

Built a work desk for my wife that sits on a semi-low pile berber carpet. Initially I bought some firm/cheap casters from Home Depot that could handle 50lbs per wheel -- they bearings for the swivel and rolling action were super cheap. Needless to say rolling the desk IN and OUT was more of a 'dragging' effort than rolling... it was super obnoxious.

I looked at casters for a long time on Amazon because I wanted a 75% firm/25% rubbery wheel that had a really smooth swivel action so it so the rubberiness would grab the carpet and the swivel would allow the desk to change directions easily with a nice smooth glide.

These are exactly what I was looking for - I didn't even use threaded collars, just drilled pilot holes and jammed the threaded ends straight into the wood (they will fall out if I pick the desk up, but so far that hasn't happened in the last 4 months).

These wheels are way over capacity as far as load, but have that gliding action I was looking for. Very happy with purchase (and great build quality)

These are the perfect addition to my industrial-style wire rack storage shelves in the garage. They are heavy duty, the standard threaded bolts match perfectly, and they roll great even when heavily loaded.

In each set, two wheels have the brakes on them and two don't, so I put the brakes on opposite diagonal corners. So whichever way the rack is facing, I can put a brake on if I want.

I bought four sets, and used them all, and just ordered the fifth set for an extra set of shelves on wheels.

I installed these on the chrome wire storage rack that I keep out in the garage. It is 6'H x 6'W x 18"D.

Right after I installed the this set (about 6 months ago) I rolled the rack against the wall and loaded everything onto it. I would guess that the total weight of everything on the rack is about 200 pounds, certainly no more. A few days ago I attempted to roll the rack out for the first time in order to sweep under it. When one of the non-locking casters rolled over a seam in the garage floor it snapped off right at the base of the threaded post. Luckily I managed to catch the rack and keep it from tipping over.

I contacted the seller and after two phone calls and a detailed email I was informed that he could set up a special order for just the one non-locking caster assembly. No free or warranty replacement, I had to buy another one to replace the failed caster. Super.

Instead I think I will post my honest review here and order a stronger set of casters for this rack and another set for the additional rack that I will be buying soon. I certainly will not buy any more of these particular ones.

Got these to replace a set of solid black plastic (ABS) casters and was pleased that these did not exhibit any of the same shortcomings. They are soft and don't leave marks, which makes them safer for the floor. Most importantly, these don't emit that plastic-chemical scent that the solid black ones do.

These seem to work well so far.I use them on a creeper for mechanic work.
The old casters lost their ball bearings and became very floppy.I ground about a quarter of an inch off the shaft of these and they were much cheaper than replacing the entire creeper.

Loved them. Put these on some scrap Metro shelves from a plant they have here in Mexico and they fit perfectly into the 1/2" pipe bottom openings.

I have them on a furniture holding a TV and they work great. It's a lot easier for me to plug things on the back of the PC and TV there, as well as move the furniture around for when I'm sweeping and mopping the floor.

Two of them have brakes and I also like this feature very much.
