Building A Better Wallet

Back pocket wallets are badly designed. If you live in a major city, carrying your wallet in your back pocket is just asking to be pickpocketed, and sitting on a thick wallet all day is a great way to end up with an aching back. But you really can't just stick a back pocket wallet in your front pocket and hope for the best - they're too bulky.

So we decided to make a front pocket wallet that is more comfortable and more secure than anything else out there.
The Eureka moment was when Michael was doing some laundry. He had a pair of pants inside out and noticed the front pocket isn't a square shape - it has a rounded, pointed shape, kind of like a shark fin.

So Michael decided to make a front pocket wallet that matched the front pocket shape. We got two patents on the design, and began learning about leather. Michael showed prototypes to friends, family and strangers and got really good feedback; product testers thought it was a smarter design and a more comfortable everyday carry. So he decided to go for it. And that's how the Rogue Front Pocket Wallet was born. We built a website - the first version of which is was truly terrifying - and cobbled together a couple of advertisements, attended a few trade shows, and before we knew it we had a small business.

We now offer a couple of dozen styles in leathers like alligator, bison and moose, as well as an RFID blocking collection, and a Made in USA line. We hope you like what we've made, and look forward to receiving your feedback on how to improve what we’ve built.

The card slots were too tight to accept my cards. I'm not aware that my plastic is a non-standard size, but my cards won't fit in the pockets of this wallet. The product description mentions it holding 6 cards, that would be two cards per pocket I guess, but the pockets were so tight I couldn't get one card to fit not to mention two.

This is a high quality product and I have no worries about failure. It carries everything I need and I will continue to use the product whether traveling or in everyday life. So why only three stars?

This is sold as a front pocket wallet. Because it is very rigid it is easily visible in all but the thickest jeans. I purchased it because I wanted a slim, RFID-protected, safe from pickpocket front pocket wallet, that was inconspicuous. It is all but the latter (and perhaps because of that, not as safe).

To get a feel for this wallet cut out a two pieces of cardboard (1/8" thick each) to about 3.5" x 2.5" (round one corner) and tape them together, put in your pocket.

I find this to be a much better jacket wallet (inside breast pocket) especially with the rounded edge. In this scenario, I am happy with the purchase.

Poor quality materials

Poor quality materials. The plastic inside for credit cards/cash was very flimsy and would have ripped out with use. The exterior had more of a papery feeling to it. I was expecting a ripstop like material. I have bought many nylon wallets for kids in the family and figured this wallet would be of the same quality. I was very disappointed in the wallet. However, I was really delighted by how quickly Amazon handled the return and credited my account as soon as I shipped the item back. I ordered another front pocket wallet out of incredibly good leather for the same price as this wallet.

This little wallet is smaller than I expected, but holds more than it looks. It will hold 3-5 credit cards easily plus your folding money. The complaint about the ID card apparently has been rectified as the opening is against the fold now instead of at the top of the wallet where it apparently used to be. So whatever you might not like about this wallet, you can cross through the issue of your ID card (aka driver's license) falling out.

I'm getting ready to travel with this little wallet, but I plan to keep passports, wads of money, additional credit cards, etc., in my "leg wallet", so this little front pocket wallet will just be used for "walkin' around" money. If someone lifts it, I will be ticked off, but not in trouble.

Only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that it fits pretty loose in your front pocket (a hip wallet pretty much fills up the back pocket, so loose it is not). It is a combination of front pockets being larger and the wallet being smaller. This would not be an issue with something like tight jeans (should be perfect for jeans). I am thinking about maybe a velcro strip or something on the side of the wallet so it feels a little more secure...something that would maybe slow down a pick pocket.

As an added bonus though, the small size allows you to slip it into a standard size shirt pocket where it is pretty snug and barely pokes up above the top of the pocket.

I recommend it for a "temporary" wallet where you leave at home (or hotel safe) in your "permanent wallet" all the junk you normally carry.

I appreciate the slimness of this wallet. I am not one who carries a lot of cards at it seems all other wallets were bulky in design, allowing for numerous cards. If you carry more than a few cards this wallet probably isn't for you.
It fits discreetly in my front pocket. The RFID protection is a go - tested with transit card. I also like the material of the wallet, seems that it should hold up well over time.

A nice wallet to thwart pickpockets

I really like this wallet. I have carried my wallet in my left rear pocket for 50 years, but when doing international travel, I wanted to carry fewer credit cards and have a front page wallet due to the possibility of pick pockets.
This wallet works great if you normally have a thin wallet. It does not hold a bunch of credit cards nor a lot of cash. But it does fit great in a front pocket, and you don’t sit on a lump of a wallet (which can aggrevate sciatica issues).
After the trip I converted back to my back pocket wallet, but could live full time easily with this great front pocket wallet.

Great wallet and very durable

This wallet was perfect for me. It holds everything I need. It needs a little break in period to loosen up a bit to hold more credit/debit cards but after a short period it works fine. I can easily fit 6 cards on the left side plus my license and a couple other things on the right side. Also fits my cash and hunting license. And boy Is this thing durable, I've had it over 4 years and it goes with me everywhere, every day. I take it when I go hunting, fishing, camping, and everything in between, I've gotten it wet and dirty and hell I've even crossed a flooded river with it in my pocket , all It took afterward was a quick dry off and it was good as new. I will definitely be buying another once this one finally bites the dust, but it damn sure is tough so idk when that may be.

Wallet with RFID Protection

I have had this wallet about 2 months now. I have found it to be close to perfect for a front pocket wallet. I use it with all of my pants, mostly jeans. The curved edge helps the wallet fit into the front pocket and doesn't seem to reduce its capacity significantly. I find I can carry from 6 to 9 cards in it comfortably and without straining the credit card slots. The credit card slots only allow 1 or 2 cards but there is some room behind the drivers license for a few more. I also like the RFID protection since that technology is available on one of my cards. Overall it is so much better than an ugly fanny pack or a rear pocket wallet.
Update 9/23/2016. I have used this wallet on a daily basis for the past 3 years. I still like the wallet and will purchase another when the wallet is worn out.
