Nice container, but metal divider is unsafe for kids

I am really happy with the function and design of this product. We use it for snacks so the size is just right. The edges are not flush, so liquids and foods with sauces need to go in a different container. I knew this when I bought it and it works for me, but just an FYI. I also like the plastic container it comes in because it's less likely to get bruised when it drops on the flow (and ours has!).

My only issue with it, and it's a serious issue, is that the metal divider is quite sharp . Sure, the edges are rounded and it's not likely to cut a child from normal use, but my two year old can easily take the divider out by herself and if she walked/tripped with it, it could really injure. Unfortunately, I bought three of these so now I just use them for my own snacks and we bought a set of LunchBots for our toddler. Overall, I don't see significant differences between the two brands except that the LunchBots have a fixed divider rather than a removable one.

The lunch box itself serves the purpose well. But with $2 less, you can buy pretty much the same thing from another brand 'Fresh baby'.
I bought the 'fresh baby' one first, then I buy this one thinking this one might be a little bigger based on the spec and some reviews and price. But turn out they are exactly the same size, I can exchange any parts of these two lunch boxes. The only differences are the color and prints on the cap. Even the details of the shapes of the containers are the same. They should adjust the price.

Preschool Snack Box

I got this box for my daughter who is in preschool.. My main concern is the divider and also her ability to open the box on her own. I have the glass locking Tupperware in my kitchen that are hard for ME to snap open and shut at times so I was concerned that this would be similar and hard for her 3 year old hands. Turns out it is super easy for her to unlock it herself and also easy for her to get 2 of the sides locked back as well! While I like the idea of the divider, the divider itself is a little awkward to get to slide into the grooves. It has to be jiggled a little from side to side to get the grooves to line up with the divider and it scrapes a little in the process.

Again, this is for my 3 year old daughter and so the divider itself is questionable for these reasons: It comes out a little too easy and is borderline sharp on the bottom. My daughter isn't the type to take it out and wave it around, but it does raise some concerns. Not sure I'll use it (which defeats the point of it's usefulness at this time).

Also, the advertising says that it is top rack dishwasher safe but after reading the directions on the packaging it states that the METAL part is dishwasher safe but it's recommended to hand wash the other parts. Hm.

Seems like a good purchase, just not sure it's age appropriate for my intentions.

These are the perfect snack size. My little one is in kindergarten this year, and has to bring a snack each day. The easy-move-divider allows her to change the size of the compartments. She can easily open and close her snack pack. It stays sealed and has never leaked into her backpack.

It should be noted, thought, that the divider is not leakproof. So a wet food like fruit salad and a dry food like crackers, are not safe from fluid movement. So there is potential for soggy cookies. No worries though, if the divider is even slightly bent upon installation or removal, it will no longer fit securely and soon you will forget about it and leave it at the bottom of a kitchen drawer. It works so perfectly without it.

*****I love this like its a five-star item. I only dropped it to a four-star after reading my comments and realizing not everyone could be in love with this as much as we are.

Many reviews complain about the size of this, looking for a small container for my kindergartener for snack at school, I wanted something small. But this is really small. As previously reviewers stated, the divider is not flush with the bottom of the container, so any small amount of liquid on one side will seep into the other (if you have fruit on one side, don't put something dry like crackers on the other in case any juice comes out of the fruit), complicating what you can put in the container as well. Overall, I'm disappointed in this and never would have purchased it in a store after looking at it.

Little to small for the price point if you ask me. It is heavy duty and held up well. The divider is nice as it moves in 3 settings. In reading the reviews prior to purchase I was aware that it the divider was not liquid proof in that our kiddos ranch dressing would leak under onto his carrots. We bought to put his pre-school snacks in and had high expectations with the price. I would not recommend or purchase again unless they were <5-6 dollars per unit candidly.

The very first time I opened the container, the silicone seal fell out. As a whole, it feels cheaply made.
Update: I've actually grown to really like these. They aren't perfect but I do rely on them. I increased my rating to 3 stars. I bought a white one and the steel container doesn't stay in the plastic but it's still usable. Not perfect but the best I've found so far. I have bought a bunch and I like to use more than one divider at a time so I create 3 separate compartments.
Update 2: These have totally grown on me. I rely on them and use them for my child's lunch every day. I love that they are stainless steel. Ideally there would be no plastic but at least it's re-usable and the plastic is good because 1) your child can see what's in the container, and 2) it's an extra layer of insulation around the steel. My two year old can take the tops of himself. Love these. These are better than the Fresh Baby ones because the picture on top of the Fresh Baby ones hides what's inside (and is kinda ugly imo).

Really expensive (I thought), the divider never stays in, falls out all the time. If you don't pull the container apart from the bottom blue plastic part, it get water in between it in the dishwasher. Just more of a pain than anything. I like this container, but probably wouldn't buy another one
