In their very first challenge, each house must create a complete and cohesive line inspired by the fashion career of Iman.

The first season was more interesting. Team challenges are more entertaining to those who enjoy the bickering, ego and arrogance. Whoever comes up with the challenges does a good job. I'm surprised this series was discontinued after 2 seasons but think the change in format caused some of it. Project Runway, unfortunately, has taken up this "team" format for this current season. I'll bet viewership is down because of it.

Other reviews reference the fact that this show is similar to Project Runway, is it a reality show about fashion? yes, but the similarities stop there. To me, Project Run. has more interesting designers and challenges. This show is narrow-minded and stunts the designers creative-freedom by putting them on teams (fashion-houses) and every single challenge except the last one is a team challenge, therefore all the designs have to be similar and part of the same collection. I will give credit to the fact that there are some talented designers on this show, but frankly there's only 1 interesting/dramatic contestant (if you're like me,you do want to see some drama on reality tv)and the challenges get stale and boring. Not a total flop, but I wouldn't buy it again.

First season w/Kelly Rowland was a poor knock off of Project Runway. Second Season w/Iman not much better. Iman though still amazing didn't play well on this show - Janice Dickinson was more fun on AMNTM. Love Isaac Mizrahi, but he seems to know it isn't working. Runway could use some competition, unfortunately this isn't it yet.

I just discovered Project Runway 3 months ago. I don't wear fashionable clothes but I do create - a lot. And Project Runway is one of the most affirming shows ever (although there have been some sham wins, which is truly sad). This show (this season at least), is every bit as good as Project Runway. I do have one stipulation - although I love Iman, her voice is truly cacophonous. Wow. What a nightmare to listen to. She may be beautiful on the outside (she still is radiant), but her vocal chords betray her when she speaks. I think of Godzilla or some monster from Greek mythology when I hear her voice. Still, I eventually 'warmed up' to it.
