    I bought this boot as a christmas gift for my daughter, got it and was so totally amazed at the quality and the softness and how pretty the boot was, that I gave it to her early. She wore them to a Thanksgiving Dinner in Jasper Florida. Where she line danced and other dances and she said they were so totally comfortable and so light on her feet. What a nice boot.

    I do not know what all the fuss is about, I LOVE THESE BOOTS!
    First off Ill start with color: I have the brown/medium brown ones NOT THE DARK BROWN (you can maybe see a pic on 6pm(.com) that will show you better what the Med. Brown ones look like in person. I say this because I am pretty picky when it comes to color especially on shoes that you are buying online as pics tend to defer away from the actual real color in person due to different lighting and what not..but anyway the color is slightly lighter than what amazon's picture is showing (FOR THE BROWN ONLY I DO NOT KNOW ABOUT THE DARK BROWN) which is what I wanted! I wanted the color to be more of a tanish brown if that makes sense.

    Next is the narrow-ness: I have "wide-ish" feet they aren't completely narrow but they aren't not as wide either lol its hard to explain but lets just say I cant wear a lot of narrow shoes because of my size/wide-ness or it'll hurt so I get what ppl mean by too narrow BUT with these boots I don't get that. It may be because I went a 1/2 size up (based on someone else's comment, but also because I got the last size that I would even be able to wear next was an 11) and I just made the size cut off. My big toe is not totally at the top but there is some moving room about 1-2 inchs worth (I don't know measurements that well so that is just my guess) and they feel fine size wise, not too big to where my foot is wiggling in the boot and not to small either. And I put these on with socks so it felt fine there as well, you might be able to get away with thick socks if the size is right. I am going to try that sooner or later (just hit Fall here so perfect timing!).

    Arch!!!!: Man oh man these shoes are comfortable, not too high and not too low so right in between to feel like you are wearing heels but without all the extra pain that usually goes with them. The footbed is so comfy!! I walked around for a few minutes and my feet felt totally fine. I say a few minutes because usually within that time I can tell to ME if the shoes is going to be uncomfortable later on based on design and arch and stuff like that.

    If you are a heel wearer or not shoes can be uncomfortable to one person and feel fine to the next. It really depends on THAT persons foot at the end of the day. I can probably run in these if I wanted to but that's how I FEEL. Yet someone else might not feel the same. I've taken some heat through some 4 1/2 inch heels from wearing them all day so I think I've had worse if these do end up feeling some kind of way. If you want a hands on vid of these I am telling you to go to 6pm(.com) (reputable) and look these boots up and watch the vid! Those videos help me a lot since I have been buying shoes online pretty frequently lately. Sometimes it is hard to tell if you should buy the boot from it being online if you can't find them in a store (especially) but all in all the videos help more than just looking at the pictures. (P.S. I know someone might be like why do I keep mentioning 6pm, yet I didn't buy these shoes from them well because the price was right with amazon! and they had my size and 6pm didn't so there's that) but for reference I would say go to the site. And due to the fact that I haven't worn these boots like worn them worn them I will edit my review later once I have for an accurate review + maybe I'll add some pics!).

    I almost never write reviews but I love these boots! I did have to buy them in a wide, which is unusual for me since I have small feet, but with the wider size they fit perfectly.     Many (though not all) boot styles from Timberland from this same season were extemely narrow, including Stratham Heights Ankle Boot. I've never needed a Wide in my life until now, and only for these Timberland styles.

    I got these in both black and brown because they were on a good sale, and I like their classic styling and good construction, but unfortunately I haven't been able to get much use for them because they are uncomfortably narrow.

    All of the Apleys as well as the Bethel Mid-calf Lace-ups from this same season were far too narrow and had to go back. (I eventually found a pair of Bethels from 6pm.com in Wide but the construction was very poor so three out of four of those pair went back as well.) I love Timberland styles and their excellent customer service, but have been very disappointed in their quality control.

    Update: More quality control issues, downgrading from 3 stars to 2 stars. The bottom of the heel fell out of the black pair on the second wearing. On a date. I was sliding all over the place until I got home. It's a plastic plug that is glued into the hollow "stacked" heel, a specialized part that can't be replaced with normal shoe parts at a shoe repair shop. I would have been happy to just glue it back in, but it was lost when it fell out. I thought for sure I could get a replacement from Timberland but guess what? Even though they still make a similar style with the same heel, they will not repair or provide replacement parts for their products.

    To their credit, Timberland stood behind their warranty: they offered me credit for the original full retail price to use toward any full priced pair on their website. It was very fair, but I would have much preferred if they could have found a way to restore my original, otherwise perfectly brand new shoe. So, just something to keep in mind with Timberland: their products might be made in such a way that in some cases they can't be repaired, so enjoy, but don't get too attached!

    These a really lovely. They are a little tight across the foot, but if you can perserver (wearing them for short times), they do loosen up, and are more comfortable.

    They are a nice height (I had worried that they might be too tall for me), but the susspension heel makes all the difference. These are even better as I got them in the sale which meant I could get another pair in a different colour too! Very happy.
