Finally decided on these after years of tiring hand-grinders. Batteries were not an option. These fit well with kitchen decor, look nice, seem well built & work rather well. Was concerned with battery charging issues, but after reading several reviews, people stated charge lasts for several months. Upon reading instruction, it's suggested that power-cord should be removed after charging...which took about two hours. This prevents contacts from corroding over time. The light on bottom is a nice touch allowing for easily viewing precise amounts. These are also adjustable by a dial on bottom of grinders, or can be moved completely for cleaning with provided brush. These have yet to be cleaned as they still function quite well. These are a delight to use, speeding up cook times considerably. However they do take a bit of getting used to, as buttons can be inadvertently pushed while handling them. Also a few grains may settle in holder if not tapped a bit before returning to their station which is really no big deal. These were filled with Pink Himalayan salt & Peppercorns adding a nice touch of class to the kitchen area. They seem well built and would expect then to last for years. No issues whatsoever.
