    This is a nice bag for a reasonable price. It did not meet my needs so I returned it but the quality of the bag seemed quite good, it was nicely padded inside, had good padding on the straps, and a soft, comfortable, seemingly sturdy handle on the top. I can't speak to the durability since I didn't keep it but it looked and felt durable. would be a great bag for a student or anyone wanting to carry a laptop, tablet and a few other things. this is the second Samsonite backpack I have considered and I have been impressed with the features and quality of construction of both of them.

    Great bag. Just got it brand new. Got it delivered second day. Price was very reasonable for the backpack. Perfectly fits 15.6" laptop (Dell Studio 1555). The tag also says it fits laptops upto 15.6". Comes with a 3 Year limited term global warranty. Is overall nice built. Compact. Not too large. But spacious and lots of compartments, including bottle holder. Great backpack for regular use. Although I am not sure yet whether it is waterproof or not, because I couldn't find anywhere written so. And haven't used it in rain or snow yet.

    Bag dimensions: 17.5" x 12.5" x 8"
    Laptop Compartment Dimensions: 15" x 10" x 1.75"

    However, I was shocked to see written in the label of the product:
    "Warning: This product contains chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm."

    What the heck is this? Why would someone use such chemicals. :( Need to write to Samsonite regarding this!

    I use it every day and love it.

    But one problem which kind of really irritates me : When you carry this bag on your back and walk around, the material which touches your back is made of some kind of rough synthetic material - what it does is that constantly keeps rubbing your shirt and makes this smoosh sound.

    This is the first time I am experiencing this sound, tried different kinds of shirts - no use and just to make sure that my mind is not playing any tricks on me - i tried to go back to my old backpack and I did not find any of this rubbing sound with my old backpack.

    Was shocked when I saw the Cancer warning on the backpack. I would have expected this to be mentioned in the Amazon product listing, at least those who care about it would not go ahead and buy it. Sad part is I saw that label post the return date, so can't do much about it.

    My backpack finally bit the dust and I needed another one-- I hate change and I hate looking for the perfect backpack
    This one is not perfect but very close -- I have been using it for about a week and it is working out just fine
    It keeps my little netbook safe and my precious kindle too. There are places and zippers to keep all my stuff where I can find it quick.
    It is not too big. I thought I might need the big backpack but knew - since I am not a large person - it might be too big. The size it just right--if anything I think another small pocket on the outside - for my phone would be great. There is just one and it is a tight fit for an iphone. Of course there are a lot of places and holders inside the pack.
    I love the water bottle holder - many bags have done away with this and this was a deal breaker. This one has two. I put water in one side and the other will fit a small umbrella if you are so inclined.
    For the price and free shipping it is a great deal and a nice back pack.

    Since buying this (2+years ago) I bought two Osprey backpacks. While I love them I have come to realise that Samsonite is a better constructed product, is better designed in that it doesnt overbalance, is made of more substantial material and has worn better. And its still reasonably light. But its the fact that it doesnt fall over when put down and maintains its shape that is impressive.Guess its all trial and error.

    just bought this on amazon prime day-july 15. i also bought a rice cooker. the rice cooker was shipped via ups - it arrived as originally stated, on july 17, 2015. this samsonite backpack was to be delivered on july 20(monday) but since the selected shipper for this product was canada post it was delivered on july 21(tuesday-as i know, canada post doesnt deliver on my location on mondays). but because i was at work on tuesday, the package was to be picked-up so i have to pick it up to the canada post office location next day. so basically i pick it up july 22. wednesday. obviously because of certain conditions, the two-day prime shipping was not met, instead it took a total of 5 working days. but i think, that's because the shipper was canada post. as they dont leave the package on your doorstep. you have to be there to receive it, if you're not there you will have to pick-up the package, next day the earliest. anyway. lets talk about the product. its looks sturdy and better than the ordinary backpack, truly a sturdier build. zippers are big and strong. and first of all its made it thailand. not one of those massively poorly manufactured in china.so this is a good back. only problem is that i find the bag a little small for a medium size. so my advice is you are looking for a bigger samsonite backpack, this is not for you. you can fit a 15 inch laptop but thats it. go for bigger bag if you want more space.
