I've been buying this specific brand and style of socks every few months for over two years. The fit, quality and price have kept me coming back. I just bought another pack December 5th 2016 and they are noticeably different. They are considerably thinner than before. After the initial wash I already had a sock with a hole in it. The older quality made socks warranted either 4 maybe even 5 stars. These are junk look elsewhere for a quality sock.

I'm pretty hard on a pair of socks. I am on my feet at work for 8 to 10 hours a day and most of that time I'm walking. I don't like to risk wearing out nice socks, so I did a little comparison shopping to find inexpensive crew socks here on Amazon. I was initially cautious-- buying socks sight unseen was a new experience-- but at about $3 a pair, I figured it was worth giving them a try. I have no regrets. I ordered a pack of these (six pairs) in October 2015. Writing this in April 2016, two pairs have worn through and I still have four pairs that I continue to wear every day during my work week.

The socks have a decent weight to them and don't feel cheap to the touch. They are comfortable, but fit slightly snug on my size 12 feet. In six months, there's been no noticeable loss of elastic and no sagging. They're solidly constructed and seem to be free of defects. When they wear out, it's at the heel or the ball of the foot.

I will be ordering them again once I wear out another pair or two. If my reorder differs in quality, I will update this review.

Good socks, same old Champion quality. I expected them to be thinner and cheaper, as most name brand products seem to cheapen their products over time.

They've held up to many washings without significant fading or thinning. They also have never stained my feet or insoles black despite use primarily for athletic endeavors.

I chose the size 12-14 even though I'm a size 11. I'm glad I did. They fit well. I don't like tight socks. They are very comfortable, and well-priced. I wish they were a little thicker, but I still like them a lot.

I buy these for my husband every year for Christmas. They are his FAVORITE socks. He wears them to work under his work boots. They are warm enough in the winter, but not too thick that his feet sweat in the summer. He wears a size 12 shoe. Quality is good, however I gave them 4 stars because they do seem to start getting holes within 1-2 years so they need to be replaced more than I would like. This is with daily wear, and with a physically demanding job.

I'm surprised by the negative reviews claiming these socks are "thin" or low quality. I received my batch of Champion socks in December 2014 and they have held up very well to many wearings and washings. They still have their elastic quality and are free of holes. These are definitely higher quality than the bargain-priced socks I've purchased in stores like Walmart and Target.

Socks for people with larger feet

I bought these for my fiancé and I'm so glad I did. He has size 14 feet and socks in stores usually only go up to a size 12, which in turn means that they have a short lived life. He ALWAYS ends up with a super tight stretched out sock that turns into holes. These fit his feet perfectly and he says they are extremely comfortable and have a nice little part in the arch that provides extra support.

Bought them for yard work. Needed something a little taller for trimming the grass in shorts. These are comfortable, similar to the 'no show' version I have. Fit was right, and wasn't tight like a compression sock, but still stayed up.
