I bought this for my mother as a small gift. She has had it for over a month and she has only positive things about this product. The item is relatively light, in comparison to other tenderizer of similar size. However, it has a hard punch on the meat and does what its supposed to do.
The surface area of impact is relatively small. However, it is good enough if you're preparing a small mean. If you're going for bigger meals, I would recommend something bigger.
The quality of the KitchenAid Meat Tenderizer is great as supposed to others found in big supermarkets. The price was also better here in Amazon.
I own many KitchenAid products, including blenders, knives, etcs, and the brand has built a reputation for itself of high quality long lasting products.
Would I recommend it for the price, YES.

How to Use?This mallet is suited to use with all meats, including all cuts of beef, veal, chicken, and pork. To use the flat side, place the meat down on a wooden cutting board. Cover with plastic wrap or wax paper. Start in the middle, and pound in a circular motion, working your way out toward the edges. Use the ridged side directly on the meat itself. (Be sure to place on a wooden cutting board so the spikes won’t get damaged.) |
