If you can't afford a more expensive mic, this is the mic you should get. They sound much better than you might expect. Obviously, they aren't the best. They still sound good enough. If you're doing a home made film, trying to upgrade your video conference audio, or just looking to record a lecture, this is perfect for you. Just keep in mind that these are not made for use with smart phones, you would need an adapter cable from TRS to TRRS for that.

This is a great little mic for cleaning up wind noise and creating a clean monitor install. ^_^
Reviewed in the United States on September 3, 2016Verified Purchase
I needed an wind screened microphone to mount under my computer monitor. There were a lot of units made to mount on the face of a monitor, but my LED monitor has a sub 3/4" border around it and I wanted the microphone to look a lot cleaner than a stick on model. So I went after one of these instead. I removed the spring from the clip and filed the end that held the mic smooth, before I used a glue gun to attach the newly smoothed clip under the monitor. The result was a clean install with no wires showing and a great look.
The microphone itself works very well and doesn't catch the wind noise from the tower fan by my work station like the old one used to. If your looking for a good clip-on microphone or something you can use to make your workstation look a bit cleaner and tweaked. This little unit was a great deal on Amazon as a two pack, the other one of which I'll actually be using as a clip on to prevent wind noise. ^_^

I use a
Sony ICD-AX412 Digital Flash Memory Voice Recorder
to take notes and voice memos. An external clip-on mic helps reduce the background noise and increase the clarity of the speaker.
I had been searching Amazon for quite some time looking for an inexpensive, high quality lavalier (lapel) microphone. These mikes, when purchased in a five-pack, are about $1.75 each. I thought maybe a mike in the $10-20 range would be a better choice. But I had difficulty finding one worth buying. Now I know why: these work great.
I compared this head to head with an Audio-Technica ATR-3350 Lavalier Omnidirectional Condenser Microphone that costs about $20-25. The ATR does sound better: there is less background noise. And the bottom end is nicer (better bass).
The ATR does look better, too. Its mic capsule is metal instead of plastic and much, much smaller. The cord is a more rugged. And the tie clip is much sturdier.
I purchased this mic on Amazon from BestDealUSA. They are one of two suppliers that sell these mics in multi-packs. You can buy the mics individually or in packs of two, three or five. If you buy five at once, it works out to $1.75 per mic.
Yes, the ATR sounds better and looks better. But it's over ten times the price! For voice recording, computer applications, and so on, these mics are great. Cheap but good sound.
The Neewer mics have a stereo plug on them that not only drive both the left and right channels in a stereo recorder without an adapter (as a mono source, of course), but also adhere to the plug-in power specification for microphones. That's absolutely necessary when using an electret mic with a Sony brand recorder.
If you need studio quality sound, look for something else. But these mics offer really good sound for the money. Five stars for the value.

These are good microphones, better than most of the ones you'll find if you spend twenty times as much. Sensitive enough to pick up clear voice while lying on your desk a meter away from you. More than suitable for VoIP applications. Buy extra and give some away to your friends!
Clip is detachable and reasonably sturdy. You're more likely to detach it and lose it by accident than to break it through heavy use. The wire's pretty short if you're using it with a desktop computer, so consider getting an extension cable, but as mentioned above you don't actually need this clipped to anything for it to function superbly.

I went into this purchase knowing this was $5 for two microphones. I knew they weren't going to be amazing. But they are a WHOLE lot better than my built-in mic. My friends would complain about buzzing and graininess for my built-in mic, and while I can understand how annoying the sound was, I wasn't going to blow a ton of money just so that on the occasion we play video games, it sounds good for them. This ended up taking care of that problem. It may not be studio quality, but for the sake of voice chatting on skype, it does the job perfectly. I clip it to right in front of my sternum, and my friends can hear me fine. The wire length is approx 59 inches as promised. I did a rough measure with a measuring tape, and it seems about right. For those that have problems, make sure whatever set-up you need does NOT require a powered mic. Also make sure your microphone jack isn't damaged. Mine was, and at first I was afraid that I had bought a defective product, but when I tested it on other computers, it worked perfectly. I ended up fixing my microphone jack problem, and all is well!

Amazing sound quality considering the price!
Comes with 2 mics. Would recommend turning on noise suppression in the microphone properties for even better sound quality :)

Funcionamiento esperado para su precio
Reviewed in Spain on October 5, 2015Verified Purchase
