This would be the review I post after receiving my 4th device, and I have to say that I am very disappointed!

The device arrived on time, the packaging was perfect, but when I plugged the device and tried to start charging my devices I found that one slot does not light-up and does not work at all!
The second slot where I attached the iPod piece does not charge or even changes the colour of the light to red, so it does not connect and charge the device!

I paid for a multi charging station only to be able to charge one device! How disappointing, especially that I highly recommended the IDAPT I4 charging station before!

I would very much like to send it back but since I had to ship it to europe through a forwarding company, it would cost me more that to just throw it away!

I purchased the IDAPT4 based upon good reviews. At first, I was pleased with the unit, but then noticed it did not work as described in the user guide. The charger is to switch from red, indicating it is charging, to green when the device is fully charged. Problem with mine is it never changes to green, even though my smart phones indicate it's fully charged. I cannot find a phone number to call for support in the user guide or on the company website. There is an option to email support, which I did, but I did not receive a reply to my concern. Further more, when I went to register my unit for the warranty, I discovered you must first create an "account" with a user name and password before I could register it. I don't like that! I have far too many user names and passwords for things now and refuse to do it!

I though I could actually put my Nook and/or IPAD on the charger but they are too big and would break or fall off the charger itself. I can use the side USB socket to charge one or the other. If you have 3 phones in your household then I recommend it otherwise I would look for something else. I was hoping to eliminate more wires than I did. Works great from the standpoint of charging my phone quickly and doesn't take up much room. Nice looking and I do plan on keeping it even though 2 ports are not being used.

Excellent product. The kids were home from college this summer when I purchased it as a last resort to "cord thievery" rampant in our home. Not to mention we had the need for 4 or 5 different ends on the various devices around the house.

I placed the station in a central location and explained its purpose. I can't explain how surprised I was when I got up one morning and all the stations were actually occupied. It's modular design allows easy substitution for every charging tip you can imagine. The 6 tips that came with the device met all our needs although there are many more available. The additional USB 2amp built in plug works great for the iPad. The kids thought it was cool!

My only complaint is that you must manually turn the entire station off from a switch located conveniently on the top when it's not in use. I know there must be a "Green" solution to this and the wasted energy it uses just sitting there. All the individual ports glow when the station is on. But if it is entirely off and you plug in a device you wouldn't know that. And the device would continue to drain, I suspect. ( I know it sure wont charge!) Thus the lack of the fifth star.

The phones/devices we used were easily placed on the station and stayed in place once plugged in. They were easily removed. Obviously, some devices charge from the side and others the bottom. When there were three devices- an android phone, an old flip phone and an iPhone 4- placed on the station, with an IPad plugged in to the USB port, all charged promptly and did not interfere with each other physically. With its small footprint I would have thought that the various designs might have excluded another from plugging in. Kinda like the big bases plugged into a power strip- some cover up plug outlets you might otherwise wish to use. Not so with this design.

Everyone has now converted to the new iPhone, three of us anyway. And the kids are at school. So I await the availability of the new "Lightning" ports for the station. Hopefully before the Holidays and a houseful of kids and iPhones. Though unused presently except for the occasional Kindle charge and use of the USB port, I will definitely purchase the new tips and hope it is used as it was last summer. Overall, it is a great product.

I carry a lot of devices (iPad, iPhone, Blachberry, Jawbone etc) that need charging on a daily basis. Since most of them are either micro/mini usb, iPhone dock, I used to carry at least 2 cords with me all the time and my desk used to be perpetually cluttered with all the wires. With idapt, all the wires are now gone and all I have with me is just one box that sits on the table and charges all the gadgets that I carry. Very simple to use and works like a charm.

It came with six tips (for charging lot of random devices) which is a boon (for charging a occasion nokia etc) when friends come over. The only gripe I have is the there is no place to store the charging tips and hence there is a chance of misplacing the extra tips. It would have been nice if there was a way to plug the non-charging tips in the box for storage as well.

Overall am very happy with the product and would highly recommend it.
