I have tried this over many colors, putting it over the lime green for a spring look got the most positive attention so far!! Just remember when you use this to make sure the under coat is COMPLETELY dry and to only use a THIN single coat of this shatter!! Apply it thin and quickly, and DO NOT blow on it!! It will naturally spread as it dries, the thinner coat will spread better and the color will brighten as it gathers. I have used several brands of shatter or crackle and this is the best so far!! After it has dried COMPLETELY, add a clear topcoat going from the tip of the nail towards the cuticle and let it dry. THEN go from the cuticle out to the end of the nail. I use a professional manicure topcoat for this. I work in a garden almost daily and found if you add a new topcoat about every 3-4 days, this will last 10 days to 2 weeks easily!! I LOVE OPI SHATTER!!!

The pink shade of OPI Pink of Hearts Shatter is more flamingo than raspberry, which was disappointment #1.

Disappointment #2 and more importantly, this shade of OPI Shatter does not work as well as the others. With black, turqouise, even white OPI Shatter - the nail polish itself is pigmented and opaque - no see through at all.

If you attempt to put the Pink Shatter over any color that is darker than itself.... it looks thin and see through, almost like it is gobbing on the surface of your under color - NOT attractive. I was very disappointed to discover this, as the bottle's handle-image of "pink over black" is not achievable. The polish is far to thin and not pigmented nearly enough. Forget trying to layer as that defeats the effect of "shattering"

Will have to settle for only using over pale/light colors.

This polish is TERRIBLE. It's thick as if it's old polish or ruined polish from being keep near too much heat. It has no sheen. It's dull and the crack effect doesn't work at all. This may even be an O.P.I knockoff. I'm so disappointed. I was really excited to get this.
