Great Tool, "Coated" Blade Is Kind Of Gimmicky
Reviewed in the United States on December 9, 2022
The knife is great for crafts that are too much for the smaller blade to handle. This has cut through thin plastic, leather and my finger, so be careful. Due to the blade being longer, it does tend to flex in some situations. Also, the coated blade is a gimmick. It wore out just about as fast as the regular blades I bought to go along with it.Overall, It's an exacto knife and will last you for some time assuming you don't seriously abuse it.
I bought it for the purpose of removing silicon from an aquarium. It worked liked a charm. The blade is really sharp which was able to remove all the silicon without any residue. The build qualify is great as well, feels sturdy but light weight. The blade also seems to be real steel as it doesn’t seem to bend easily.
I use exacto knives a lot and this is a great one that fits well in my hand. The one problem I ran into was that the cap doesn't stay on tight like others I have had. That would be my only gripe.
I am using this knife for cutting decorative vinyls. I did not expect the handle to be so thick. The diameter of the handle is around 0.5". Blade is VERY SHARP. ALSO, the protective cap that is provided is not a very snug fit, use with caution.

If you are after a good modeling knife, then this does the job. Pointy bit at one end, handle at the other end. I have found it best to hold it by the handle rather than the blade to avoid unnessesary cuts. Blade is sharp and seems to cut most things expected of a craft knife. Including skin. Seems very good at cutting skin, but best refer to my note about which end to hold the knife. Looks great as far as knives go. Not sure they could look much better. Functionality, it has all the normal things expected of a knife. The sharp bit as mentioned, a handle as mentioned, and a thumb tightener to hold the blade in. I have found it best to tighten the blade well before trying to do any cuts as without the blade in place, the knife falls a little below standard expectations during the cutting process. With the blade firmly in place, then it cuts very well, which includes skin, if I didn't mention this earlier. So in summary. It cuts. Nothing fancier than that. I tried to get it to perform other related tasks, but it is not magnetic, does not seem to grip items and It does not appear to take any batteries, so I have not found any other hidden tasks it could perform other then being a knife. 5 Stars, as its a good knife and has taken top spot in my knife hall of fame.
