1. Emily the Imaginary Friend / The Lost Girl

The season premiere episode showcases two stories with spine-tingling, first-person narration. The episode begins with "Emily the Imaginary Friend," a story about a young Baltimore family whose life is turned to chaos when they move into a new home and their 5-year-old daughter makes friends with an invisible girl named Emily. The second story is "The Lost Girl", where a mother and daughter relive an unexplainable encounter along a rural dirt road in Florida with a mysterious girl who carries a shocking secret.

2. Haunted Highway / Kentucky UFO Chase

This week's episode presents two more real life paranormal tales. The first is a supernatural tear-jerker, "Haunted Highway". Dave Stautzenbach's 21 year old daughter and his 3 year-old grandson have mysteriously disappeared on a car journey to southern California. Then... many of us don't believe in UFOs but the two cops in the second story certainly do. In a deadly game of cat and mouse, their police helicopter was chased across the nighttime skies of Kentucky by a glowing orange orb that fired fireballs at them in 1993.

Paranormal Witness scared me. ME. Nothing scares me. I am a horror movie buff, read horror books, ghost stories, ghost reality shows (eg. ghost adventures) Have seen a ghost (once) I have seen it all (okay, well not ALL). The poltergeist episode got to me. The photos that were taken of the "poltergeist" was truly scary. Not I need to turn the light on scary, but "what the HECK is THAT??! scary. These stories are creepy - just the way I like it.

Then - YEY! I have a new favorite show! Then it was over. What? Only five episodes? I only got to see 2 of them. I thought the show was cancelled, but I just saw that the new season starts in August, and I cannot wait. Too far away! If you enjoy the topic of supernatural, defintely check this out in August. You won't want to watch this home alone at night. Paranoia might set in afterwards.

I enjoyed the show, I like the live witness commentary and the re-enactment of the stories. This show's formula is similar to that used in Discovery Channel's "A Haunting" The stories are interesting and written so as to keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the whole program. I really love good story telling so I appreciate the time and talent it takes to make this show. Keep the stories coming! All the episodes I've seen so far have not disappointed. I was wondering if the family has ever sought religious intervention.

Definitely one of my favorite series on Sci-Fi Channel (I refuse to call it by it's newer, lamer name despite their attempt to reband themselves). I'm hoping they'll do another series run (or two), since the other ghost hunting show hasn't been interesting for years now. This is, by far, more interesting and entertaining. Done in more of a "story telling" style with the actual witnesses of paranormal events, the production value is pretty high with the reenactments.

It's sad that they are more or less showing lamely produced and low budget movies ("Sharknado", anyone?) or showing older sci-fi or horror movies on the channel now, and have cancelled a lot of the paranormal shows (Destination Truth, Haunted Collector, Fact or Faked, et cetera) or missed the boat picking up better paranormal shows (Ghost Adventures). Paranormal Witness is the last bastion of great paranormal tv on this channel. For those who haven't seen it yet, it's well worth watching while curled up in bed under the covers. In the dark.

This is a fantastic series on the SyFy channel. If you like the supernatural you'll love this. They have interviews with the actual people that were involved in these stories. Very scary accounts. These aren't your average haunted house/ ghost stories. This has become one of my top ten favorite shows. They just started season 3 and I can guarantee this show will keep you on the edge of your seat. Prepare to be scared and maybe even sleep with the light on after you watch this. Definitely not for young kids.

I love these kinds of shows, and Paranormal Witness is my favorite so far. The storytelling format is excellent, and the stories they tell are creepy and believable. I've bought all the seasons so far, and I'm hoping another season comes out soon, it's so good.

Paranormal Season one doesn`t disappoint it has scary tales of the paranormal that are fascinating, riveting and scary to watch. The poltergeist and watched in the wilderness episodes are two of the best episodes and contain a mix of edge of your seat horror and scary realism.

My daughter introduced me to this show while visiting. We decided it was the "grown-up" version of "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" that we used to watch together when she was little. Love it! And each story is told by several folks, not just one!
