Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

I bought these probes for use with my Digilent Analog Discovery module's oscilloscope function. I've been using them for a few weeks now, and the they've performed flawlessly so far. They seem to be good quality probes, and I'd be hard pressed to find much difference between them and Tek probes except that these Hantek probes don't have the little pins that tell the 'scope whether the probe switch is set for 10x or 1x. I knew they didn't, and for the price, I wouldn't expect it — and the Digilent module with which I use them doesn't support it anyway.
I'm also very pleased with the 4ft length. All of the Tek probes I've used in the past were at least 6ft long, and the extra 2ft of cable was always a bother (often it felt like they were about 10ft long).
I'm very happy with this purchase.
Update: one year later, and they're still working like new. I don't use them constantly (they'll tend to get used for a few days once every month or two), so I can't vouch for their lifetime in a full-time daily usage situation, but for occasional use they've been great.
Hantek makes excellent low-cost oscilloscope probes. My only issue is with the metal hook on the oscilloscope probe tips. Although they are well engineered and work extremely well, it would be nice if they were slightly larger.
use them extensively and they work well. Bandwidth is as described. Not as good as HP or Tek of course but a fraction of the price. I blew one up (my fault) but was easy to replace the 100 ohm resistor and now it works fine once again. I would definately buy them again.
Pro: Great probes for the price. Feel well made, coax is flexible, plastic odor went away after discarding the pvc pouch they come in. Con: Need to compensate probes daily, all 4 of them seem to drift to an under-compensated state within 12-24 hours. Not sure what is causing this, humidity? The probe tips don't seem to be replaceable.
Overall, these showed up in one day for under $20 a piece and got the job done. Considering the cost of OEM probes in a pinch you can't go wrong with these.
Was looking for 2 probes for an older 200MHz TEK scope. This probes are working well and compared to the original probes I haven't seen a difference in rise time or signal overshoot with the scope square wave probe calibration signal. Switching the probe from 10x to 1x changes the signal response as expected (rise time and overshoot) measuring a square wave. The signal level readings are also good, so no complain about the correct attenuation. The ground clips and tip clips are working as expected. The probe doesn't have the pins at the BNC end that the scope can detect the 10x attenuation like the original probes do. So you have to do the 10x on the signal reading, but for the price that is acceptable. I'm happy with the probes and so far they are working great.
I have had these for about a year. I don't have the ability to verify the freq response & impedance. But the signals look better on my Tektronix 2246A than with my old generic 100MHz probes that cost three times as much as these.
I can't believe the price. Even if they fall apart in under 5 years I will be thrilled with the this purchase!
First the bad. As I read in a couple other reviews, I had one probe that allowed setting compensation just fine while the other would not. It seems that the probe that would not allow setting compensation did not have the proper value trimmer capacitor installed.
The totally shielded BNC connectors are a big plus. I also prefer the ground clips and insulating sleeves on these probes over my stock (not a Hantek scope) and other branded probes. One of the other brand cables exhibit a microphonics effect where anything tapping the cable shows up in the trace. I don't have to worry about false triggering while looking at single-shot events.
The grab hooks work smoothly and hold tight.
I wish I could give 5 stars, but an evident lack of quality control in making sure the correct trimmer capacitor is installed drops my review to 3 stars.
I have an original probe that came with my vintage oscilloscope. These have a much better "feel" to them when working with them. I haven't noticed any differences in measurements I've take with these probes vs. my other probe. For the money, these will suit the average hobbiest. I am not sure I would rely on them for a "High Tech" type lab environment, but for the Average Joe, these are a winner.
