I am giving this 5 stars because of the range and clarity. My house is 2 story and 2000 sq ft, yet I sat upstairs in a bedroom, with my phone downstairs on the kitchen table, and I made several calls easily that sounded great. When I talked to my mom via the headset and asked her how the call sounded, she said she didn't notice anything different at all from talking to me on my iPhone.

The headset itself is very lightweight, comes with 2 different kinds of earpieces and is pretty easy to use. I've had to refer to the instructions a couple of times over the past 2 days, but have had no problems.

Battery life so far seems good, I haven't had to plug it in at all, but then I don't leave it on when I'm not expecting to use it either.

This headset was extremely easy to couple with my iPhone 4s; I didn't even need the pin code the instructions provide.

Definitely not a bad deal for $23.

I've had a lot of success with low-cost bluetooth headsets and this one is on par. I'm connecting this to my iPhone 4s and use it primarily for phone calls and listening to podcasts

PROS:
- Great price $27
- Good sound quality on both ends
- Comfortable fit. It comes with 2 different sized rubberized ear pieces and hooks. The rubberized pieces don't work well for me. But the hook is comfortable and secure.
- Easy pairing
- Good battery life

CONS:
- I wish the volume could go up higher. It's a little muted on the road listening to podcasts.
- I'm not sure if it's my iPhone or the earpiece but when I answer a call in the middle of a podcast I have to re-select the bluetooth headset as the audio option. You would think it would just default over.
- It would also be a great enhancement if there was a button that could pause/rewind/ffwd the audio

I love my new Samsung HM1700 Bluetooth. I don't talk on my cell phone very often while driving, but now if I need to, I feel comfortable doing it. I hated having to have one hand off the steering wheel while using my cell phone. Now, both hands can be on the wheel and I can talk just the same as if the person were in the vehicle with me. The people I have talked to say they can hear me perfectly and that it doesn't even sound like I'm on a bluetooth. Also, I can hear everyone just fine. I have a Samsung phone, so that is why I decided to buy a Samsung bluetooth. I don't know if that makes a difference or not, but it works great.

I also wanted to mention that it arrived way before the projected time, so I would highly recommend this seller. And the price was very affordable. One interesting thing was that the red colored one was cheaper than the other colors, so that's why I bought red. :-)

I bought this for my wife and she used it with an iphone 5. The sound quality in her ear was pretty good, and the battery life was excellent. Unfortunately, every time I called her I could tell immediately if she was using her ear piece or not: When she was, her voice was a bit muffled and garbled. I could understand her no problem, but the sound quality wasn't perfect like when she was using the iphone's microphone. Another problem with this Samsung was the connection lag period when my wife would answer with the ear piece -- there was always about two or three seconds of silence that would inevitably lead to both parties saying "Hello? You there?"

After a few months of use, the plastic earpiece broke (my wife's fault, not Samsung's :-) Instead of buying the HM1700 again, I went with the Plantronics M50 for about the same price ($33). That earpiece is FANTASTIC. The audio quality is absolutely perfect for both the wearer and the caller. I'm buying three more M50s for other members of my family and as a backup down the road.

I was really looking forward to getting this earpiece-- I used to have to carry around a back up wired headset because I had so many issues with my Motorola. Anyway, here's what I think about this one:

1) Sound quality great coming in. Have been hearing good feedback from people on other side. Today, a client could hear me clearly even though someone was mowing their lawn across the street.

2) Kinda flimsy feeling. My old Motorola felt like electronics and had a really nice, elegant charging dock. This feels plastic and disposable in comparison, and the usb dock on the end is awkward to use-- it always falls off my desk and makes me crazy. And I can guarantee the little cover for the usb dock is going to fall off sooner than later.

3) Can listen to my podcasts-- yay!! Couldn't do that with the old bluetooth.

4) Ear thing does not fit in my ear-- it's way too big! As a consequence, the voice on the other end sounds farther away than I would like.

5) Love the color-- so easy to find!

Anyway, so far I like it, but I am going to keep looking for something better.

This headset is lovely to look at but that's about it. The piece that is meant to be in your ear is so big that I wonder how many people who bought it were able to use it. So that it clearly a big problem for me and my ears seem pretty normal in size, not especially small for a woman.

Additionally, if it could fit, it's not working as it should: it pairs and picks up music if you are playing music on your device (though it's mono sound), but it does not connect in order to make a call. Nothing happens when you press the button on the headset to start a new call. Only if you long-press are you able to have it dial the last-dialled number.

My suggestion is the Samsung wep460 headset. Cheaper. Better fit. Works.
