Does what you'd expect it to do and does it well. I make a lot of boxes and clock faces with exotic woods and if the joints are not perfect then there's a noticeable gap by the time the error is multiplied going around the box or clock face. This helps with assuring that any angle settings for my cuts are dead on.

Like others have mentioned, the display started telling me that the 9v battery needed replacing almost from the start. Kind of nice that they think to include one, but given how long the boat ride from China must be, I'd say you should expect it to need a new one by the time you get your hands on it. The battery cover is held in place with four tiny screws (does not just slide open) so rather than install the battery that they include, you might want to just install a new one when you first put it together.

I got this about four months ago and have had lots of great use out of it. The protractor is very accurate. With my trusty old needle protractor I did not even know what a quarter of a degree was, Ha Ha, some where between the two lines and less then the thickness of the swinging needle. Now I have to remind myself to not worry too much about those small amounts of information as they are insignificant for most conduit bending applications as long as the numbers are with in .5° or less your conduit bend should look good. Another great feature is the hold button as you can take a measurement of degree of angle from something while can not see the face of the protractor. If you can reach it you can measure it, turn it on place the tool on the spot to be measured and push the hold button, check your reading and now you can match the angle. This application has come in handy many times while trying to match conduit offsets off the sides of cat walks and hard to view areas where I could not see the face of the tool. The zero set point is also a priceless feature, something you can not do with the old protractor. You can compare two bends in reference to one another regardless of the level the bending machine. The digital read out also turns over when the tool is flipped 180° which makes for easy reading. This tool paired with an Anti Dog tool are invaluable for an professional electrician. If something where to happen (i.e. lost or stolen) to this tool I would have to get another ASAP!!! It's a great tool. I could go on but I think I have said enough.

I highly recommend getting an angle cube that has an illuminated display. I use this with my Wicked Edge knife sharpening system and wish it had an illuminated display. The magnets on each side are strong and hold it securely. Otherwise, this is accurate and very easy to use!

I bought this as an installation tool for my struts. It worked great, I can't wait to find other uses for it. This seems to be very accurate. I was able to consistently repeat measurements.

It uses a 9V battery. I don't know if it was the operating conditions or just an old battery but mine did not last long. My garage is a heated garage and the lowest I keep the temperature is 48F. Usually work at about 55F. Well, I left the gauge stuck to my disk rotor I assume in the on position and went into the house. Got side tracked by other chores and a few hours later came back to finish the job. Turned the gauge on and the display seemed (weird). During a trip to the tool box came back and it was dead. Replaced the batter and all was well, weird display gone. So if this is an indication of battery life I would say keep extras in stock and keep track of your tiny Phillips screw driver.

I love this thing. I recently replaced my car's shocks and struts and was agonizing over getting the alignment done, as many places have very mixed reviews on Yelp. If you want peace of mind, you often have to do things, yourself.

I did my alignment two ways:
First - Since my original alignment was spot-on (according to original shop-performed alignment with digital read-out, perfectly even tire wear, and no pulling on the road), I simply jacked the front of my car up on both sides, removed the wheels, and did camber readings on my brake discs. Then, I replaced the struts and bolted them back to the axle carriers such that I reduplicated the original camber readings.
Second - After all was said and done, I took an 8-foot piece of angle iron that I bought at Home Depot for $11, stuck this gauge to the middle of it, and took readings of my driveway till I found an area that read level that would correspond to my two front tires' placement. I then moved my car to that point, stuck this gauge to a flat strip of metal (about 1.5" x 6"), held that against an outwardly flat section of my wheels, and read the camber readings that way. I "could" also have chosen any area of my driveway, zeroed out the level, and then taken camber readings from that zeroed reading.

In my particular case, this was practically all I had to do to get my alignment satisfactorily done. Changing my struts, in theory, doesn't affect my caster or toe, so camber was all I was concerned with, and this tool worked for me.

Dead accurate

I just rebuilt my sisters back deck and when it came to the rails I needed to make sure I got the angles correct. I clamped a board on at my marks, put the digital gage on and got my angles... I then went to my saw and the ground my miter saw was on wasn't level... since the gage has great magnets, I put it on the blade itself, got that angle and then subtracted that from my stair angle. It came out perfect. I have gravity gages, but you can't get as precise, and my other digital doesn't give you options nor gave the same reading twice. This one gave the same reading each time I placed it on the stair or the saw.

The con I have is the buttons are tiny as is the print. I'm 60 and my eyes aren't what they used to be.

Realmente no lo he utilizado aún. Se me ha hecho un poco difícil usarlo y no he encontrado algún tutoríal claro y en español. Sin embargo el aparato se ve bastante sólido y al prever precisó por lo videos que he visto en inglés. Ya pronto lo intentaré usar. Saludos.
