First of all, I'm probably one of the most unlikely viewers ever to love this show. I've always been a bit of an animal lover but have never really understood the issues surrounding pit bulls until recently. I found a starved, hairless, pathetic dog with a broken ankle, broken rib and very ill. I knew he was some type of pit mix but he was so thin it was hard to tell what he actually looked like. What amazed me most was how affectionate and loving this dog was - despite a state of near starvation, he sought out affection as much as food.

In the process of learning all I could in order to help rehab this poor little dog, I came across several references to the work Tia Maria Torres is doing along with some clips of the show. Along the way, I've also learned the harsh realities of a world that frankly, I've known little about...the world of dog fighting, hunting and the terrible abuse and neglect these animals are subjected to on such frequent basis.

This show is informative, educational and shows the power of one person to make a difference in the lives of other people and other creatures without the hooopla, fanfare or Hollywood style BS. I wish there wasn't a need for this but I'm glad there are those out there able to handle the harsh realities of life...for those such as myself that tend to live in a very nice, safe and comfortable environment - it's a real eye opener. A very uncomfortable one but a heavy dose of reality never hurt anyone and has the opportunity to do a great deal of good.

In a strange way, this show is one of the most uplifting and positive out there - yes, the pitbulls are tragic and so are some of the people involved. Yes, there should never be a need for this in the first place but the fact that there is...

I thoroughly enjoy this show. It is a must-see for animal lovers, but also for those who like to see the underdog (both animal and human) get a break. It is great to see a show that focuses on helping Pitbulls, the most misunderstood and persecuted of all dog breeds. Everyone deserves a chance, and Tia, her family and staff make sure that both humans and canines get one. This show is not one of those "cleaned up", fake reality series. It is tough and gritty and at times heart-breaking. But more often than not, I find myself in tears of joy. In a world where we are constantly bombarded with bad news and stories about people doing horrible things, Pitbulls and Parolees is a breath of fresh air. Great work Tia! I hope all the dogs find those "forever homes" they deserve.

Tia and her crew do great things for an amazing breed of dogs. I can only hope that her message gets through and they get some huge donations. If I were rich I'd get her a million! Thank you Tia!

A fellow dog lover recommended this program. I was really impressed by it. Seeing was believing. I love Tia Torres, the parollees, the volunteers, the family, and the dogs. It is so sweet to see how nervous and excited folks are when they finalize an adoption.

If you're into animal rescue, Pit Bulls and Parolees will be a favorite. I've just finished watching the 5th season (I bought all 5 seasons!) The parolees are interesting and I got deeply involved with their stories. Between the dogs and the parolees, there was a lot of drama and action. It helps to see the series in order since each episode builds on another. Enjoy!

A fascinating look at what it takes to run a pit bull rescue. It is inspiring to see the courage and dedication people who devote their lives in a noble cause, despite overwhelming odds. It also brings to light the social problems that exacerbate the terrible plight of dogs ( especially pit bulls) and parolees in America.

I love dogs, am an active volunteer and want to rescue a dog of my own. Love the show. Great for anyone interested in dog rescue and pitbulls (and their non-pitties). It's nice to see the hardship and the successes of all aspects of the rescue
