* The headset is great for music. I was actually quite surprised. I was expecting something in line with the Logitech G230, but these blow them away. They sound about as good as Monoprice's over-the-ear DJ headphones. The bass is strong, mids are a bit muted (just a wee bit), and though the treble doesn't sparkle, it's satisfactory. You'll love these if you listen to a lot of bass-heavy music.
* Volume and mute controls are on the cable.
* The cables are flexible.
* Light. These things are seriously light.
* The 3.5mm connectors for the input and output are detachable so you can also use this with mobile devices (or just for listening without the mic).
* Setup is straightforward. Plug it in and change the appropriate settings in Windows and you're good to go.
* There isn't any built-in sidetone/monitoring but that wasn't an issue because these headsets don't block out any sound so you can hear your voice clearly while wearing them.
CONS:
* There isn't any noise isolation so you can hear outside sounds and, if your volume is high enough, people will be able to hear what you are listening to.
* The mic is...interesting. It doesn't sound bad, by any means. Most gaming headset mics lack bass but the upside is that your voice cuts quite clearly through whatever sounds are playing. These, however, have a lot of bass at the expense of treble. Again, it doesn't sound bad, and your voice will sound more natural than most other gaming headset mics, but your voice will get lost if everyone else is also talking.
* The mic doesn't mute when you raise it. Also, the mic clicks when you adjust it up and down. It feels nice but if your mic isn't muted, people on the other end will hear it, and it's loud.
* These headsets are flimsy. They look cheap and they feel cheap. Everything is plastic. But they sound fantastic.
* The cloth ear pads feel really cheap, and they're kind of scratchy. Also, the cups aren't as big as those on the G230, and my ears do come in contact with the inside of the ear pads. It did bother me after a while, though it wasn't painful or anything (as it was with the Plantronics Gamecom Commander), but after using the G230 and the G35, I just didn't like the feel of these. My ears are big though so your mileage may vary.
OVERALL:
I like what these headsets are, but I don't like the feel of them on my head. Maybe my head is too big. But if your head isn't too big (and/or you don't mind cloth ear pads), I would recommend these without reservation.
