- Reviewed in the United States on February 1, 2012UPDATE - February 18,2012: I really liked this game so I re-installed it to my Kindle (keyboard). I've played it numerous times since the re-installment, and have not experienced the problems I had earlier. Maybe the game didn't install correctly on the original installment. Whatever caused the problem earlier, it's not causing it now.

First review prior to Feb. 18, 2012:
The game is really fun and challenging, but unfortunately every time I activated the game it would corrupt the way my books were supposed to shift.
I have my books in "collections". When I select a collection, the selected collection shifts to the top of the collections list. When I select a book from within the collection, that book shifts to the top of the list of books in that collection. The collection selected and the book selected will stay on top of their lists until a new selection is made.
After playing HAMSTER HABITAT, the collections in my Kindle (with keyboard) would not stay on top of the list when selected. When I selected a collection, it would automatically shift to the end of the collections list, and when I selected a book from any of the collections they would not shift at all. The list of books inside the collections would remain static.
Restarting the Kindle would not correct the problem, so I REINSTALLED THE UPDATE (that was released awhile back). A Wi-Fi connection did not work because the Kindle detected the already installed update. So I tried doing it via USB (go to Kindle Support and select "Software Updates" for instructions on how to update via USB).
Even though, via USB, the Kindle also detected the already installed update, IT CORRECTED THE PROBLEM. If you are having the same problem note that when you get to the part "Update Your Kindle", it will remain grayed out on the menu list. It's supposed to do that if the same version update is already installed, which was the case with my Kindle. So, because I could not select "Update Your Kindle" I selected "Restart". Success! My Kindle was again working the way it should, well almost. Now I noticed my "Archived" books were not showing. This was easily remedied by "Turning Wireless On" and selecting "Sync & Check for Items" via wireless connection.
I played this game 3 times, and 3 times I went through the above. Pretty aggravating. Needless to say, I have removed it from my Kindle.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 7, 2012I really liked this game on my kindle. I once read on a one star review for "Hamster Habitat" that it did not work on kindle touch and the person tried dragging the tubes and it did not work. Well, I was very dissapointed to hear that, because the game looked really cool and I had the Kindle touch. But you do nowt drag them, you tap the board and drag up, down, left or right. Depending on your inventory, you may only get a couple of tubes. I really enjoy this game, and if you want this on kindle touch go ahead- it works great. I think it had a very wonderful tutorial and very cute hamsters (they are adorable!). It is too bad it is rated only three stars- it deserves more! I love this game a lot. I definately reccomend it and think it is a great and cute game. I say ignore bad reviews. It is so good and happy! Best free game ever!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 8, 2012It's a cute game. It probably even works on a Kindle with buttons. But for me on a Touch Kindle, this is a miserable game to try to play. You are supposed to "flick" the screen the direction you want the parts to go. Yeah, right. I'm not a very good "flicker" and it's not a very good system, takes all the fun out of the game. That is, the frustration of trying to get the "flick" to work right takes all the possible fun out of the game. Actually, I don't know, I've never had a bit of fun trying to play this game, and will no longer try. Would not recommend this game to any Touch Kindle owners.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 26, 2012I really enjoy this game and it is interesting and challenging, however, I find the 'controls' frustrating because I cannot select what piece I want to use and the game is constantly putting in the wrong one using the current way to play it...I have literally spent 12 minutes on a puzzle that I had solved in less than 2 but I couldn't get the right piece to go up on the board... My advice to programers, change the controls and it would be an awesome game to play!!!!
