Just an all around fun show. Great mindless tv amusement. Some of the stuff on the show HAS to be staged, but it still makes it fun. There is a lot of swearing and in fighting between most of the crews, but that's what helps make it good. Don't get me wrong, it's fun watching the "good guy" crews too, but there's that unpredictability factor with the disfunctional ones.

I really enjoy watching men working at the peak of their working life, when it comes down to felling trees. No one person watching can really gauge the extreme danger these men work under daily, and the injuries are common, only because no one can think of every hazard they are facing, as most accidents in this occupation are due to unknown and unseen dangers. This is truly work, and they surely are not compensated at a fair wage, and none can realistically work till retirement, so most of these men end their careers in another field. Each show takes you back a couple of hundred years, as few things have changed in the most dangerous occupation in the world.

As we began to watch there was interest in the characters and various logging technics. It was the attitude of one boss inparticular that turn us to turning it off. A small big mouth, large temper guy who physically shoved down threatened and also choked co-workers. To serious an occupation for such an immature person. Done watching!

In a perfect world, it is said we first need to kill all the lawyers. I would like to add in producers. It seems every reality show of this nature suffers from overzealous producers who script more of the show with each progressive season. Ax Men was never a GREAT show, but fun to watch in the background while I work. I enjoy the father and son team of S&S as I think their anger at each other, though definitely staged, is coming from a real place. It was OK to watch. The first season was 4 stars, and it has lost luster each year....

I watch shows like this to see some of the places they work, because TV shows get access that most of us never could and spend mega bucks on helicopters and aerial lifts etc. to get the best shot and that gets us some incredible views. I could do without all of the stupidity of running equipment naked, fighting, blowing up somebodies lunch box, etc.

It a great show showing the dangerous work these men perform. It is surprising that the one-idiots whom pick on others live this long. As an Lieutenant in Vietnam they would have caught a accidental bullet!

lately it seems to be headed down that road of the producers trying to cause all kinds of problems. the way they have been setting up the shows has become a little to dramatic and needs to fall back into some good old loggin. but still good.
