Read a review on endgadget regarding a phoenix speaker which is basically the same as this speaker except about $50 bucks more and in Red not black. Picked this satechi speaker up and Im amazed at the sound it puts out and distortion free. Easily synced to my Galaxy S3 and I'm listening to tunes on the deck as I type this. I would highly recommend this speaker if your in the market. Shipped from CA to the east coast in 3 days.

This bluetooth speaker system is one of the best purchases I have made.

Paring: This thing has paired with everything bluetooth I have including my Xoom, Galaxy Tab, Razr, Nexus 7, Toshiba z835 ultrabook and 3rd generation Ipod touch. Pairing is simple and easy.

Battery Life: Once I charged it up (+/- 3 hours), it played for 13 hours, so there are no issues about battery life.

Controls: A little funky but not horrible. Just press long and hard on the power button to turn on or off, press and hold the volume keys for volume up and down and quickly press the volume keys to advance or rewind tracks or stations.

Audio: for a small speaker system the audio output and quality is incredible. Clarity and transparency, no problem. I listen to different types of music, including, liquid DNB, rock, r&b, soul, classical, jazz, rap, house and electronica and everything is reproduced quite well. As a side note, my daughter put this in one of the vanity sinks in her bathroom and the sound impact was even better. I know, strange but true.

The Satechi ST-69BTS system comes highly recommended. If you can find it buy it.

Quality in a small package

Have only had this for 1 day but I love it. Bluetooth means it costs more than portable speakers that require a wire connection, but it is worth it to me. I leave my iPad fixed and I just move the small speaker with me from room to room around the house as I do things. It is very light and fits in one hand. I listen to radio news mostly and the sound is very good quality and much louder than my iPad can produce. Also, I have one app that swtiches newscasts stations that broadcast at very different loudness settings. With this cube, it is a cinch to tap on the up or down volume to quickly control that. Even on maximum loudness, my iPad couldn't generate enough volume to more than barely hear one of the stations. The cube remedied that.

It was extremely easy to set up the bluetooth connection and it automatically reconnects each time I turn it on (though I haven't experimented yet with synching to a 2nd bluetooth device but the instructions indicate that it is easy to manage multiple devices).

Neat Little Portable Speaker

I love this purchase. I looked through lots of reviews before settling on the Satechi. I have not been disappointed. I listen to internet radio through apps on my phone. I like getting a bit more boost in sound that my phone can generate so I purchased this speaker box. The sound is powerful and can fill a medium sized room. The sync process is easy. I have been able to easily sync to my Samsung phone, iPad and PC so the box is flexible. There is also an option to plug in your MP3 player if you prefer to use it for that.

The sound is clear and rich (for a speakerbox) and is well amplified yet the speaker is small enough to carry around. If you need a portable sound box to boost your phone app or iPad app listening, I would recommend this portable speaker box. You won't be disappointed (unless you are looking for large stereo fidelity from this. It's not a Bose sound box).

I did a lot of research before buying.
My wife was skeptical of "another gadget" buy. But she loves this!
High marks for convenience and portability with adequate sound quality

Wife mostly listens to podcasts and not much music
She was mostly using ear buds before because the internal speakers on these pads are so pathetic

SHe loves this little device;;;
Easy to turn on and pairing is automatic once set up

No wires, she can leave the pad on the bed
then she moves the speaker where ever she is working
It is nice to have the built in batteries.... changing batteries was always a pain.
Have not tested how long the batteries last, but it seems ok.

Sound quality is good for such a small light box
But if you are a critical listener., the sound quality cannot compare to good head phones,
or the quality of a more elaborate sound system

Amazing Audio Cube

Thoughts:
I purchased this with the idea that I could use it outside while playing tennis or inside for miscellaneous use and I am extremely happy. This little audio cube produces a fantastic sound that carries in outside conditions, and fills up a small-medium sized room just fine. Well worth the money. I've been using it almost daily for about six months and it works just as good as when I purchased it.

-Durable and Sleek Appearance
-Full sound with surprisingly loud bass
-Holds lengthy charge

Cons:
-Bluetooth can be a little fidgety sometimes
