I am a big fan of Army Wives and loved Seasons 1-5.
Season 6, however, has fallen very flat.
Not only is Pamela gone (the actress left the show) but Claudia Joy is also gone.
With no explanation from Lifetime about where Kim Delaney is or acknowledgement that she won't be back.
The new characters brought on to fill in the missing pieces have not cut it.
Jackie and her story line are not interesting.
Neither is Gloria's story line.
Roland and Joan were much more interesting before they had kids.
Now all their plot lines are kid focused.
Poor Michael has been reduced to a recurring character since there is no Claudia Joy.
The show just isn't what it used to be and I won't be a bit surprised if it does
not return for a 7th Season.

This whole season was spectacular! I am by far not a cryer when it comes to shows or movies, but this show has moved me to tears more than once. Sad tears and happy tears. The shows delve into issues that our military families are actually dealing with.

we started watching this by mistake some of the people at work recommended it so we gave it a try - well worth it, The last season was not as good as some of the earlier seasons but still well worth our time in watching it. Go Army!!

Well, the scripts are as good as the prior seasons, I thought. Maybe a little repetitive but not distractingly so. It's completely obvious that this wonderful series has reached its end, or nearly so. The actors are jumping ships in droves and many of them are, apparently, going to be showing up on network TV and in movies soon. We've lost about half our favorite characters and gained a few in season six that I didn't care for. I have read that Roxie is out in season seven and Claudia has gone, too, so, for me — it's done. I loved it while it lasted, but all good things must end.,

The season starts off amazing as come to be expected from the previous seasons. Then the last few episodes of the season Claudia Joy, a main staple character, is faded out rather quickly with no explanation for fans. As if that wasn't devastating enough 2 other families are being fazed out as well. It was almost like losing a part of your family. I'll watch season 7 just to see if it can keep up with its amazingness from past seasons, but I do have my doubts.

Army Wives never failed to grab my attention. I loved all the characters especially the dynamics between the different couples profiled in this drama. I asked a woman who had experience as a military wife and she confirmed that Army Wives is very true to the lives of the spouses left behind to bear the burden (and experiencing the joys) of raising children alone while their spouse was across the world serving our great country.

All I have to say, is to those Americans who are patriotic, Army Wives is a great show. I have yet to miss a season or an episode. However, maybe I am obsessed because when I do miss an episode, it is a must that I purchase it, since they took it off of our cable's on-demand list. That is just how much I like the show, the actors and actresses, and it is just a great nighttime drama.

I had watched Army wives when it 1st came on Lifetime, then I got too busy and next dropped my cable company. This all resulted in me not being able to watch it. Well I watched all the other seasons on Netflix and just had to see the final season (6). I was very pleased with my purchase.
