After several months, this power supply started failing. The computer would suddenly lose power, and instantly shut down. I tried different cables, I tried unplugging one component at a time to see if I was overloading it (1600W, really?), I unplugged everything EXCEPT the motherboard and video card - nothing worked.

I sent it in under an RMA, and when it (or a replacement) came back, there was a very loud vibration - the fan casing had broken loose and was bouncing around inside the unit. Okay, maybe it happened during shipping. So I got another RMA. This is when I begin to realize that the service department I'm speaking with does not communicate well in English. I let it pass, since I finally got the unit back in working order - for the time being. All tolled it took me over TWO MONTHS to get a working power supply back. And all the while I was without my computer.

After that, yet another problem (luckily it was still under warranty). One day I go to turn it on, and the computer starts for about 10 seconds then shuts down. I open up the case, and see that the power supply turns on, then within a few seconds, turns off. Once again, I try different cables, I try unplugging everything but the motherboard and video card - nothing works.

So I rinse and repeat. I return the unit under an RMA, and when it comes back, guess what? SAME FREAKING PROBLEM! They didn't do a damn thing to it! They just returned my unit exactly as it was.

Since I didn't want to go another two months without my PC, I buy another power supply - AT $288 - hoping LEPA's service company, Ecomaster, would realize enough is enough, and at least offer some kind of monetary redress.

This is their reply: "Our technician will testing the power supply.

I bought this to run my gaming desktop. Worked for a year until the computer started randomly shutting off. I eliminated the possibility of other failing components and attempted to RMA the PSU. After doing so, the replacement PSU wouldn't even turn on for more than a split second. In addition, the adhesive covering on the logo was in the same position as the original's was when I shipped it in. I highly suspect that the individual who processed my RMA simply glanced at the PSU, saw no external problems, and shipped it back (during which time, whatever problems the PSU had were worsened).

I'm going to keep trying to RMA this PSU, but I highly suspect I'll be purchasing a Corsair 1500i in the future to replace it. Avoid this PSU like the plague. Unreliable, and the customer service is utter garbage.

I would give this power supply a 0 star rating if I could. The first time I ordered one, I am not even sure what they delivered. It didn't power up the mother board and it had a some kind of crazy grounding wire attached to the power cord. I wrote it off as being more power than I needed and me not understanding how to connect it. The second time, I accidentally ordered the same power supply as I did with my original mother board forgetting that the problems with the original power supply. I tried cancelling the order but my realization was too late. This time, the cable was a normal cable, but the same results occurred. The Power Supply initially powered up but shorted out within a few seconds. I will never buy another LEPA power supply. Believe the negative reviews. The positive ones are either from very lucky people to receive a non defective power supply, or company employees trying to save their jobs.

I like the power supply. It had clear words written on the side where all of your internal plugs and whatnot go which made things simpler. You wouldn't necessarily need such a high wattage, but it's nice to have in case of expansion, etc. There are two things that does bother me, however, it's that, first, the cords that come with this are a bit short and bulky. Cord management became a huge trial because they weren't long enough to feed from the bottom of our full sized computer case to the opposite side at the top. The other problem isn't a terribly big one. It is that it wants to take so much power that it can't be used on the same surge protector power strip as our monitor/speakers. Not huge, but it's nice to have that extra protection in case.

I had bought this product in high hopes the reviews were right about it. Unfortunately both the original and replacement were bad from the start. Do not buy this product expecting to get one that performs more duties than act as a paper weight.

My rig consist of
Gigabyte 990fxa ud7
amd 9590 cpu with h80i cooler.
sapphire 290x3
gskill sniper 16g ram
windows 8.0 64
lepa 1600 psu
waiting on waterblocks from frozencpu.com then system will be fully under water...minus chipset ram and hdd.

Only con I have with this psu is the connectors feel a lil chincy but the cable thickness is what matters when feeding the power hungry 290s. Graphs show in gaming these cards can pull 400 watts each-so technically im at 1200 already and now my amd 9590 with a tdp is 200 I believe so now im at 1400 give or take a few watts. everything went in together nicely and man the psu i swear added 15lbs to my black hawk ultra tower....almost need 2 people to pick it up and move it lol. Overall I'm utilizing a big portion of the psu already just on stock clocks and have no intention on overclocking since im basically sitting with barely anything to spare when it comes to watts.
