Calificado en Estados Unidos el 12 de junio de 2015Excellent product. Note that you need a 12V solar panel voltage regulator to connect to a load such as 12V storage battery. The unregulated panel output is in the 18-28V range and should not be connected directly to a load. Solar panel voltage regulators are inexpensive. Several good regulators can be found on Amazon. Combined with a regulator this is perfect for keeping stored auto and boat batteries fully charged. Add a small 10 amp hour 12V sealed lead acid battery and a 12V USB charging adapter and you can keep smart phones, tablets and other devices that can be charged from a USB port fully charged when you are camping.

Calificado en Estados Unidos el 21 de febrero de 2019The panel seems to be working fine, I am using it to keep my Ghost Controls gate opener battery charged.... Only complaint is the four threaded screw holes that are used to attach the 2 pieces of the bracket together that it comes with don't line up, at all. You can get 2 screws in but that leaves the panel sitting cock-eyed because it has to be rotated out of square before they line up. Not sure how something obvious like that slips through quality control?
Anyway, My gate is charged through solar now for a 1/4 the price of the gate manufactures oem panel so I'll keep it and fix the bracket my self.

Calificado en Estados Unidos el 28 de agosto de 2018I tested the short circuit current and open circuit output with Fluke model 179 DVM. OC voltage close to spec. Short circuit output current only 510 mA in full incident sun. Approx 9 W. Spec on panel is 910 mA. Sold as 10 W.
For sun sanity check I measured old 5 W Ramsond. Under same sun conditions short circuit output was measured 338 mA. Spec was 340 mA Very close.

Calificado en Estados Unidos el 23 de octubre de 2013I have a motorized gate that has an existing solar panel to charge the battery needed to open the gate. Unfortunately it was welded in place by the installer in a location and position where it would only get direct sun in the afternoon. I was having problems with the battery not getting sufficiently charged to open the gate. Several times I had to hook up a battery charger to get the gate to operate. I purchased this panel to supplement the original solar panel. It is well made and seems like it has been built to last. It does a great job of charging the battery. I haven't had any more problems. My only complaint is the angle bracket that is intended to help mount the panel will only allow you to orient the panel one direction. Would have liked a bit more flexibility.

Calificado en Estados Unidos el 11 de julio de 2018This is quality panel that delivers, better than the cheaper poly I had. I found the best way to test these is to plug them directly to a DC load that you know what the dissipation during direct sunlight, and see if it can keep the load running. If I were choosing between a cheaper 10-16 dollar 4 watt panel versus this one for 23 dollars there is no contest. I wish they made a mono at 4 watts, for the size of the 10 watt is about twice the size.

Calificado en Estados Unidos el 16 de septiembre de 2015I installed the panel on a Mighty Mule gate opener and is working well so far, keeping the $20 wally world lawn mower battery charged. I unsoldered the supplied lead and soldered on 16 ga wires and connected directly to the gate opener. The solar panel does not have a charge controller which is okay because the gate opener has an internal charge controller. The supplied mounting bracket made for a fast and easy installation. The price for the panel and mounting bracket is a pretty good deal compared to other solar panels sold on Amazon.

Calificado en Estados Unidos el 4 de septiembre de 2018The panel is fine but it does not include the mounting hardware as shown in the photos!
I need to return or find my own mounting hardware, was told I would need to go to my local hardware store as the manufacturer has not designed the correct mounting brackets?
