Don't Be Tardy... 4 Seasons 2012

Season 1
4.2 out of 5 stars (43) IMDb 4.6/10

Bravo has the hottest seat in the house for Kim Zolciak's extravagant wedding in a new docu-series titled "Don't Be Tardy for the Wedding." It's been just a year since the Bravo cameras captured Kim's fortuitous meeting with Kroy Biermann, Defensive End for the Atlanta Falcons. Each thirty minute episode will follow the adventures of Kim preparing for her wedding on the lucky date of 11/11/11. With less than 2 months to plan, she enlists celebrity event planner Colin Cowie to help design a dream wedding in her brand new multi-million dollar home. The pressure is on as Kim rushes to find a dress, lose remaining baby weight and cosmetically enhance trouble spots. With the date quickly approaching, problems mount - her invitation is leaked to the press and her mother refuses to attend the wedding. Still, Kim is determined to marry Kroy and won't let anything ruin her perfect day.

This wig wearing, wine swillin, F-bomb dropping, d-list version of Dolly Parton takes a lot of flack in the reality show arena but I like her. I don't care if she buys entire rolls of scratch off tickets, didn't really exercise to lose all the baby weight or took out loans to finish her million dollar McMansion; I think she's hysterical. I don't know why I like the relationship between her and Falcon defensive end, Kroy Biermann. Perhaps its because he is about twelve steps up from that Pizza Pizza-looking guy. Maybe it's because she's channelling her inner Mae West. Or because she took on Nene Leakes AND She by Sheree and came out with her wig in tact.
Normally you can set your watch by the minutes of matrimonial bliss between a rich, young NFL player and a blonde Bravolebrity but I am strangely drawn to the idea that these two fruit loops might actually last.

I for one hope that they do.

Love!!! I enjoy watching the family dynamic and how Kroy is such a stand up guy. Every mother's dream for her daughter and every woman's dream in a man. The children are beautiful and testy at times like all kids are, but certainly, lovable.

Crazy mouth Kim delivers on a what you see is what you get basis and it works. She's very genuine and straight forward. Love that!

The production value is excellent; sound, cinematography, plot structure, all excellent. Depending on who you are and what you are looking for, you might love it or hate it. The happily ever after good vibes of Four Weddings this is not. Full of bleeped f**** and s****. Groom mentions $7,000, bride agrees on $700,000, spends 1 million plus. Along the way, drama, drama, drama. Last episode, bride cuts cake but her mom doesn't see it. Why? The bride is having her mother and aunt escorted by the police from the home venue. Her father and 3 other guests leave with mom. Yes, the bride has the police march through the reception to get the mom. The crime? It all started when the aunt insisted on using the inside bathroom rather than the $5,000 port-a-potty. Last scene, bride and groom leave during the middle of the party to go off and have sex (they already live together). If all that strikes you as LOVE, then you will probably love the series. If it strikes you as SELF-CENTERED (the very opposite of what generally makes for a happy marriage), then you might have my reaction---revulsion.

Also, if you are watching to find great wedding ideas, don't bother. Brides who spend the most money are often the ones who put the least creative thought into the wedding and reception. In this wedding there are no great decorations, flowers, entertainment, ceremony, food presentation, or music. Just $54,000 for a used wedding dress, 2 Pninas custom made in 6 weeks, $50,000 for a groom's ring of black diamonds, etc, etc.

This was fun to watch. It is nice to see how much Kroy loves Kim. (Not sure why...but he does.) If you watch this season, you will get to see Kim's hair. I like that Kim refers to her wigs as 'her wigs'. Her wigs have come out of the closet :).

It is a different side of Kim that you did not see on Real Housewives. Fun and entertaining.

I kind of enjoyed the train wreck if you will, but Kroy's love for Kim and her girls was so sweet. The wedding was sweet, especially when Kroy gave Kim's daughters each a ring. Lived Shen (sic) and Kim's friend Jen.
p.s. I'd rather hear all the swearing than the constant beeps.

Amazing.....they are a very in love couple. The show shows the love of a family. People can think she is selfish and ungrateful but her and kroy are wealthy and can choose to spend their money as they wish. They love their family unit and are so happy to see true happiness.

ive always sided with kim throughout her battles with nene so i was interested in seeing her new life unfold. shes outspoken and confident and i love that about her. however there are certain things you just dont do NO MATTER WHAT. im referring to her kicking her mother and aunt out of her wedding for using the bathroom in the house that was supposed to be off limits. thats got to be something that would make anyone wathing cringe. i was diappointed at the end to have watched the entire season.
