Larry David is a comical genius, and I personally can't ever imagine this show getting old. Not only is the material hilarious, but it also has a little dark humor to it. Like Seinfeld, the whole show is pretty much about "nothing." It's just about people getting wrapped up in silly, trivial issues every day, and is kind of a parody of life itself. When asked where the title of the show came from, Larry's response was: "It reflects my perception that many people seem to live their lives projecting false enthusiasm, which I believes is used to imply that "they are better than you."

Do I miss Cheryl? Yes, I do. I would have chosen to keep her in the cast, but her departure opened up a lot more opportunities to put Larry in hilarious and awkward situations with women. And Larry is the same as he is with women as he is with everyone else - he acts just like Larry. Leon is a great part of the cast - he's very "Krameresque" with his constant following of Larry wherever he goes and mooches off of him, but he says the most funny, silly, random things.

I have all seven seasons so far, and can't wait to add this to my collection! The replay value is great. I go through them about once a year and I still laugh as hard as ever. It's possible to watch these shows out of order and laugh, but there are enough life changes throughout the series (unlike Seinfeld) that make it more logical to watch it in order.

There better be another season!

It is without reservation that I share my endless "uncurbed" enthusiasm for this series, which is easily one of the best on TV. I own the DVDs from all seasons, and usually can't wait to acquire the next one. I watch them over and over and am never bored. The brilliant improvisational acting, as well as the hilarious humor and fabulous ideas for every episode are of the highest calibre. I highly recommend every season of "Curb your enthusiasm".

This season was just as hilarious as the one's with Cheryl. I especially loved the Palestinian kebab vs the Jewish deli episode. No comedy today can hold a candle to Curb.

Hysterically funny. Amazing that the show is not scripted like other shows ...rather they take an idea, or a concept ...a sort of "we want to say something like this ..." and then the actors run with it ...great improvisational skills. Love this show and would have killed to have done just one episode. Hire me!

I love the spontaneity and originality of this show. It has somewhat of the "Seinfeld" touch as it is virtually impossible for those not in the know to predict the outcome. I will miss Sheryl (sp) as she seemed to grow more beautiful year after year and her counterbalance make each episode more unpredictable.

I gave up HBO for a few years and the one thing I missed the most was Curb Your Enthusiasm. I finally got around to buying Season 8 and I am glad. Although I hated to see Cheryl Hines leave the show it was fun to see Larry on the prowl with his buddies, Jeff, Richard and the Funk Man. J.B. Smoove is a great sidekick, a perfect foil for Larry. And, of course, Susie was at her foul-mouthed best. "Curb: is in my top 10 TV shows of all time and finally getting to see Season 8 was a blast.

I rated this season high but it comes with a caveat, Curb Your Enthusiasm is not for everybody but is for those that are not offended by the light that the show cast on many of our own foibles channeled through the character Mr. Larry David ( at least i hope it is a character and not the real L.D.) Mr. David has a grasp of humanity that few in the comedic world display today. The episodes make twist and turns that in the end come full circle and it is hard to keep the laughter down. The show finds no topic out of bounds and this i am sure is a turn off for many people but if you enjoy the absurdity of life in general and of California and New York in particular, well then clearly L.D. and his wonderful cast and guest stars is a show you will want to watch.

CYE is probably a 'love it or leave it' type comedy for most people, and for me- I like it. Love it, not quite, but I would say 4.5 stars. Normally the cynical attitude of a lead character (Larry David) would wear thin after a few episodes, but he somehow manages to keep it interesting. Probably because I (and some others I know) identify with his triggers and breaking points.Only he gets to vent every time he's confronted. At times it may border on offensive to some, but then again so did All in The Family- and we all managed to somehow survive that.
