Would not turn on even after 5 hours of charging (brand new out of the box) my son's birthday present..very disappointed. UPDATED: like a complete idiot I purchased another Nabi from the same people. And we have the same problem.. the Nabi will not charge just like the first one. Finally i use the charger piece off of my phone charger. And I found out that my Nabi has been previously used and registered to another family. So I'm unable to register it for my child to use which is very very disappointing since he's already seen that I have a Nabi for the second time and he can't play with it. I look through the Nabi and front pictures of another child. I didn't know that they were selling used junk and I'm very highly disappointed that I have wasted my money once again with the same company to get used broken junk. I highly recommend that you don't buy from this company

I must say I am disappointed, I bought the Nabi 2 Nickelodeon Special Edition Dec 2015 which at the time was more money. But I figured it comes with $200 worth of games,books and videos. Only about 1/2 actually would load up. I ended up having to update and get games from the goggle play store where there are free ones unlike at the nabi store where you pay. I thought with it having the SD slot I would have more room for apps but no. that is only good for pictures,music and such not for apps. with only 8gb you are left with not much. No manual book or start up. You would think because this is for kids it would be easier to operate, but no. The Nabi is a rip off. Next on my list for a kids pad will be the Samsung Galaxy 3 for kids.
Today is August 14 2017, tried to charge the Nabi 2 either it needs a new Battery or a new charger. The kids hardley used this I can count maybe 25 times. DO NOT BUY ANY NABI PRODUCTS.

The idea of the Nabi is great however we bought two (one for my daughter and one for my son) and they have booth had major issues. Physically they are strong but that's where it ends. They were both bought in March/april 2015 and on my sons the screen is no longer working and had to be factory reset to see if we could get it going again (which means all his games are gone) and my daughters wifi/bluetooth stopped working and had to be factory reset to try and get it working (again didn't work) and I had to pay to ship it back to Nabi to get a replacement. This process will take 2-3 weeks which we will probably be doing with my sons as well. This is not the first time we have had to trouble shoot issues with them either. We have literately spent hours trying to get these things to work. I am so disappointed in this product and while support is easy to contact the solution is almost always to reset something and that just seems crazy to me when the tablets are so new. I am tried of fighting with these and disappointing my kids when something that was supposed to be a special gift for them keeps having problems.

DISCONTINUED ITEM DOESN'T FUNCTION

I've spojen with Mattel and This product was DISCONTINUED in April of 2019, along with the SERVERS and APPS for this product. The tablet will NOT function properly as a NABI, nor will any of the apps that are supppsed to come with the product. Invluding the "MOMMY MODE!" You can factory reset and use it as a regular tablet, tho unfortunately according to Mattel, the functionality is inconsistent and doesn't always function properly that way either!!!. Which pretty much defeats the purpose of buying a nabi for a child because you can't use it as such. May as well just go to Wal-Mart and buy a tablet for $30 because it's the same difference, only the tablet you buy will actually function at full capacity! The features and functions you are advertising can no longer be used! This is False advertising! Also l, I did not even know it was a USED item until I got my receipt of purchase, because no where in the ad did I see it was a USED item. (Which wouldn't have mattered if the darn thing actually worked!)

I purchased this device and received a Nabi2s instead. My child is 2 1/2 and so far enjoys the tablet. I purchased a dvd converter software and added 2 of her favorite movies to the tablet so it can also be used as a movie player on long car trips. The battery life last pretty long. If I could make one change with the device, I wish it had some sort of touch sensitivity adjustment to the screen. Since she is only two, my toddler has a hard time pushing down hard enough on the screen. Especially when playing puzzles, she finds it difficult to push enough to move the pieces. we have had the nabi 2 weeks now and she is getting better at it.

Also there are lots of free games on the google play store that are awesome and she has already learned 3 new colors, just by playing color matching games.

The first 3 screens on the Nabi can't be changed and it's annoying to have to pass them. I did talk to people at NABI to see if that was something that could be changed that maybe I couldn't find in the settings, but no... the 1st screens can't be changed. I was annoyed with that at first, but even my two year old knows how to flip past them to get where she wants to go.

My only other comment is this device is a lot heavier than I thought it would be. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing.

I just love these tablets. We have 4 of them They are pretty snappy with very little lag. Nice display from the right angle. They are tuff you can break them but you have to try pretty hard. Must root and use Link2SD because internal storage is limited. But is easy to Root and install twrp setup sd card with 2 partitions use ext2 for second partition and pay for the pro version of Link2SD so you can link the external data and obb files and move them to the sd card. I use one for my work and then the other three the kids and wife use. They are real nice tablets for the price. Once rooted you can remove any stuff that comes loaded on them but there is a lot of nice stuff for the kids and some people really like the kids mode(nabi mode) and parental controls.

After researching we found right the balance in this tab, it's safe because app installs need dad (or mum) to approve, but it's not locked down, so installing your own stuff is still possible. After a bit of surfing (search for "Everything Nabi"), I eventually configured it with more apps that I chose (rather than the pre-installed set that seem to have been selected more in favour of instant-extra-profit than instant-child-entertainment).

Since Christmas day, this has been my daughters main plaything (she's almost three).
