I like to see people turn their lives around from bad to good. This show has great stories of people rebounding.

I have to admit....I am addict.....to the show intervention. Whenever it is on TV I cant bring myself to change the channel. Each story is so riveting and emotional that it is hard to not watch it through. I am a Health teacher and I purchased this season to show some clips to my students. It was great to show them the physical and emotional effects of drugs in real life situations. A great great show!

I watch these shows a couple at a time - that's about all I can take in one sitting. It amazes me that some addicts don't want help, they want to keep being addicts and doing what they do until they die. Unfortunately, if there is an addict in the family, everyone's focus is on them - what they want, what they need, how to get help for them, what to do about them, a place for them to stay. Siblings of addicts don't get any attention other than what they can do to help their brother or sister. Parents often wind up being enablers because they're worried about their child (their other children can just disappear it seems). Addicts are very selfish people. These shows do a good job of showing the cons of being an addict. As I watch them, I change from feeling sorry for them to being angry to feeling hopeful - the emotions run the gamut. The shows are put together well with input from the addict, their families and their friends, plus showing what rehab is like.

Wow, this series just grabbed me and wouldn't let go. It has one theme running through it; these people are in pain and are self-medicating to numb their pain. They all have dysfunctional families and the families are offered help too, because if the addict returns to the family he or she left they will mostly relapse. It is definitely a family affair, with all contributing to the enabling of the addict/loved family member.
I did have to say I had to take a break from the darkness. It usually ends with a happy result and causes much crying on my part, so I had to take a break from the emotional toll it was taking on me. I recommend this one to anyone who want to see a complete turn around from the dark deadly addiction to the clear-eyed happy person at the end. I should give it 5 stars I guess.

This was the mosr bizarre case ever. This woman is a looney-tune and a drug addict. She constantly sucks on "lollipop" pain killers for terminally ill people. Her crazy antics are kinda funny. She likes to lie down and spread her legs to relieve hip pain. This is one episode you will never forget.

The similarities of traumas for each of the addicts was quite interesting. Life was especially rough for each of them. Their need for professional help did not work or did not happen until too late. They all lost hope that their life could be better or that the emotional pain they suffered could ever get better. Each program was very hard to watch, but was sensitively treated by the professionals involved. An enlightning series.

This series is a must see for all families. Our children will be exposed to drugs and if the family denies painful experiences it is a recipe for addiction. The emotion is raw and true, and so deeply human and real. It is commonplace and yet, with invertention, solvable in many cases.

It's a good show. I never watch on tv but watch the prime time seasons offered. It's realistic and teaches someone more about addiction and co dependency. Also gives hope to families to see when someone gets help. They look like night and day. The transformation of someone clean is awesome to watch. They need prime time seasons.
