I recently learned that I could put loose glitter on my gel nails. This is a wonderful discovery for me! I love glitter!!! This is a really amazing set. Here are a few thoughts:
-Colors: I LOVE the variety of colors in this set. I feel that for the price I got a lot of variety and colors. I will say, I felt this set was heavy on pink and gold. I love pink, so I am not unhappy about that at all. I'm not a huge gold fan, so I would've preferred a few extra shades of red or some more purples But considering this was so cheap I don't have a problem with ordering more. I feel there was a nice variety and most colors in the rainbow fairly well represented.
-Sizes and fullness: These are small pods, but for my nails I do an accent color on my ring finger and it hardly makes a dent in the color. I will be able to use each color many times for my nails. If you need a large quantity of certain colors this probably isn't the best set. I took a picture of a few on their sides so you can see how full they are. The majority range from roughly 1/2 full to 3/4 full. It's not completely consistent, but it's still impressive. I would guess in a craft store I would've paid at least double what I paid for this, so I am not disappointed.
-Packaging: I did have some glitter loose in the packaging. It was a bit messy when I opened it. I laid out some paper towels, put them all out and then cleaned out the plastic box so I could still store them in there. It wasn't messy enough to warrant docking a star, especially given how happy I am with the product. I didn't have any lids that had come off or anthing. I can't even image working in the factory that packages these, how hard it must be to keep packages and everything from being consumed with glitter! Even after opening this I'm finding glitter all over my family room.
-Uses: I am so happy to have these for my nails. Now I can do fun glitter nails for holidays. I gel polish is pretty expensive, so I don't necessarily want to buy colors for specific holidays to only wear once or twice. I didn't want to buy an orange just for Halloween. So using this on an accent nail, or even on all my nails, is a wonderful alternative. It also satisifies my girlie love of glitter. I am excited to do some Christmas nails for sure! I plan on trying to find a way to use stencils to do simple patterns, like hearts and candy cane designs.
-How to use it with gel nails: If you're curious at all how I do it. I do the base coat on all my nails, cure it under my LED light. Then do a coat of color on all my nails, cure that under the light. Then do another coat of color. While it's still wet I add glitter to my accent nail. I use a tiny measuring spoon to get it out of the pod. I dump it on my nail and then push it down lightly, so the flecks are flatter. I take my nail on the opposite side, or a nail tool, and clean around the edges. I don't want any glitter close to the skin or else that will be the first area that peels or I pick at. Then I cure all those nails. Add a 3rd coat of polish if I need to on the other 4 nails, cure that. Then a top coat. I put a very generous layer of top coat on the glitter nail. I do that one last so it doesn't pool around the crack between my nail and skin. If it's too thin then my nail is very bumpy from the glitter. I cure all of those and I'm done! The glitter nail lasts the full 2 weeks just like all my other nails. I get a crazy amount of compliments on it.
Overall, I feel this is a 5 star product. I definitely "love" it. It was slightly messy and there is a little more gold than I would like, but I'll use it at Christmas and maybe even for art projects with my 11 year old daughter. This glitter is great for nails, eyes, art and just about any use you can think of.

I will start by saying I only received 44 glitter packs. The price is great and to me it was not worth marking down a star. There is a huge selection. Some glitter colors look very similar or almost the same. But upon taking a closer look you can see a slight difference in the flake that reflects in those colors. I got these to do nails with. My clients love glitter and of coarse I do too!! With all of these amazing colors I am so excited to see how these nails will turn out. I know they will be beautiful. I can not even begin to think of all the great color combinations and possibilities these will give me. Glitter makes everything pop and will bring these designs to life. With all of these colors and shades you can most definitely do ombre nails using nothing but glitter!! The containers are not filled all the way. I took some pictures so you can see. The glitter is very fine. Very tiny. This is not a glitter you want if are going for the chunky glitter look. I got 7 pinks, 7 greens, 7 purples, 7 blues, 3 reds, 5 bronze/copper looking colors, 1 black, 3 orange, 3 gold, and 1 silver. Very satisfied with this purchase.
