As you can see by the picture this product was received damaged. A large number of the dates were loose in the box. As much as I tried to get a refund, every angle I tried continued to tell me I could not return the item and then would not let me go any further. I never found a way to get a refund instead of a return. I tried everything and all I got was "This item cannot be returned". Frustrated

Due to the mixed reviews, I was skeptical about the quality of these dates but decided to take a chance on them and I'm glad I did. The dates are much moister than Trader Joe's or Sunsweet. The container is ginormous, but I've managed to keep them fresh for six weeks by placing cling wrap between the inside of the container and the lid. They're a really tasty snack for those who crave something sweet at the end of a meal by like to avoid added sugars. Plus, they don't have the side effects of prunes. There's nothing that I would change about this product.

I have used them as an energy snack. Not tried using them for baking or cooking.
The Pros -
- Large sized, soft, sweet and fresh.
- Comparable with the traditional middle eastern varieties.
- Can be consumed even a fortnight after opening the pack - if you empty them into an airtight container.

The cons -
- the plastic container in which it was packed is not suitable for airtight storage after first opening.
I wish the dates were packed in resealable packs like some others.
- I also came across an occasional pit (seed) which was inconvenient, through the pack does caution you to such possibility.
