Pros:
Low voltage (1.35v VS 1.5v)
Low profile (Only as tall as the RAM latching mechanism)
Very good latency ratings
When using a motherboard with UEFI, it picked up the RAM timings perfectly.

Cons:

Honestly none to speak of.

Other Thoughts:

This line of RAM is excellent in keeping temperatures and energy usage down in your system, yet it is very fast.

These things are so low-profile that they clear even the biggest heatsinks on tight boards which are very close to or over the RAM slots. Obviously you'll want to put the RAM in before you cover them up with some mega heatsink.

I have all 4 Dimm Slots populated with these memory sticks in an AsRock Z87 Fatal1ty Professional motherboard with UEFI, and the motherboard picked these up right away and ran with it. I did overclock them for a bit just to see, but put it back to stock because there really wasn't a need to keep them there... I did not experience any instability even when running 1.65v through these sticks. Rock solid and they dissipate the heat very well, especially for their size.

Because it is low voltage, it is also compatible with some OEM equipment where you can't adjust the voltages to allow for 1.65 volt RAM or sometimes even 1.5 volt RAM.

Rock solid stability, excellent brand reputation, flawless design, Competitive pricing... You can't ask for much more than that!

BTW, I got 2 single dimm sticks and this dual channel pack and filled my MOBO up to 32GB ram, they play very nice together, you would think it was bought as a quad channel kit...

Capacity is 16GB (2 x 8GB)
Speed is DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
Cas Latency is 9
Timing is 9-9-9-24
Voltage is 1.35V
It is Non-ECC
It is Dual Channel Kit
It uses Aluminum heat spreaders

I would absolutely recommend this RAM to anyone who can use it whether it is in a full size rig with plenty of room or in the smallest form factor htpc...

Just my thoughts,

MG

This particular model of RAM fits under just about any low-profile case or awkward CPU cooler overhang.
The RAM performs well, survived a 24-hour stress test, and is made in Boise, ID.
I've purchased hundreds of Crucial/Micron memory modules and had good experiences with them.

When buying RAM, please note that the clock speed and timings matter very little except on computers which use integrated Intel/AMD video. You can spend double on 2500+MHz RAM and experience less than a 2% boost in system performance. The decision is yours, but low-cost 1333 or 1600MHz RAM should be sufficient for almost everyone.

This worked while it lasted, but started corrupting memory within a few months. It took me a while to realize what was happening, and I confirmed the diagnosis with memtest (I have two other RAM strips from Samsung which still work). I tried taking it out and pressing it back in with a lot of force but doesn't help.

Update almost 3 years later 1 ram stick burnt out and crashed my PC, as a tech knowing lead free solder is destination to fail and it was stamped on the memory stick "Lead free" I should have known it wouldn't last long. Same thing caused 1st gen Xbox 360 GPUs to fail. Oh Reflow didn't work, temporary fix.

So what can I say about crucial? Well, I usually stick to brands such as Corsair and I am actually fond of their dominator and vengeance series but because I have an MSI motherboard, I didn't realize there would have been a compatibility issue. I've used the crucial ballistic series for quite awhile now, so I know that they are reliable and have decent performance. The low profile is fantastic, I made a second rig and I am using a mid tower case so space is somewhat limited, the low profile gives you a bit more space and that sleek compact look. Let's not forget about price, for it's price range I've known crucial to be fair compared to other brands but what is even better is the success rate I've had with crucial as opposed to some major brands such as Corsair and Kingston.

To sum it up, it's affordable, sleek, and reliable.

I purchased the Crucial Ballistix Sport Very Low Profile for a couple of reasons for this new build. One - Crucial is a recognized name brand. Unknown brands or brands new on the market are a risk. No risk with Crucial. Two - The low profile was needed to accommodate the Noctua NH-D14. Windows 8.1 recognized the 16 GB . Since this is a new build up and running for a couple of days, I will update this quick review in 3 months. So far so good.
UPDATE - July 24 - All is well. Still going strong. Very good product. Would purchase again.
UPDATE March 3, 2015 - All is well with the Crucial DDR3 and all the computer components purchased. See my other reviews.

This is my 3rd buy of Crucial Ballistix ram. have 3 different machines with these types installed. All run flawless. The low profile is cool ( I did not require it) But the price was good. Amazon sold 'em quick I noticed. Ran Memtest on these for 9 hours, No problems at all. If you want a pain free setup of fresh memory. pick up these. They have been great for me. I have 25+ years of PC experience. I'd not steer you wrong.
My 3 sets have been installed in 2 Gigabyte Mobo's and 1 Asus. if that helps :) All Good...

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent. Nothing fancy, does its job well
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on July 10, 2013
I wanted low voltage RAM (1.35V in this case, though I believe it can run at 1.5V), so that it wouldn't get hot or use too much power. I also wanted low profile RAM so it wouldn't get in the way of a large heatsink on the processor. This RAM meets both criteria well.

There was no problem with my motherboard (Z87 chipset) recognising the RAM through the XMP profile, and it's running at default speed perfectly. I haven't tried overclocking yet, but the one review i could find of this RAM suggested it would overclock nicely.

Add in a very reasonable price compared to a lot of RAM (I think I paid ~£77 here at Amazon), and it all adds up to a good deal. I've used Crucial RAM in the past, and on the one occasion I had a problem, they were helpful, so you should be in good hands if you need to make use of the warranty.
