I am really glad to see RANDALL AND HOPKIRK (DECEASED) come to the instant video format. Produced by Monte Berman and airing only 26 episodes from September 21, 69 - March 28, 70, Mike Pratt and Kenneth Cope were really good in their respective roles (one deceased) as detectives in this comedy/drama. In the episode, "YOU CAN ALWAYS FIND A FALL GUY", Randall comes home in the wee hours after a long night out on the town, only to find a nun sitting in his apartment. After she solicits him to investigate a man new to the 'convents' employ (in the accounting department) and claims he has stolen 6,000 BP, Randall reluctantly agrees to look into the matter (although Hopkirk is suspicious as to why a nun would be wearing makeup!). Later, he secretly meets her on an open road where she hands him an envelope with (presumably) the accounting figures, and then leaves - he opens the envelope only to find folded up newsprint! That leads to the question of who is this so-called nun and what are her real intentions. He soon finds himself being set up as the 'fall guy' in a much bigger scenario. This was a good serious episode with a few comedy sequences.

The transmission on this offering (where picture quality is concerned) is much better than the DVD's that came out years ago.

Couldn't quite get with it. Did not live up to its reviews. Confusing and unfunny.
