pros:
- gaming tablet with physical controls
- button mapping software is really good
- price is good
- build quality and finish is good, nice box and manuals as well.
- sleek and light weight
- no in game lags.

cons:
- poor battery life (around 2 hours)
- bad wifi module (on pc I get 3mbps downspeed but on tablet it goes no more than 700kbps)
- very lowspeed storage memory. Mutlitasking is a pain.
- the storage can be expanded but cannot be used for applications
- screen is just ok, not crisp also has bad viewing angles
- many good games are not supported on this tablet as per play store
- horrendous booting time. takes about 3 minutes to turn on and get to home screen (I guess due to low speed storage memory).

other thoughts:
its a ok tablet, doesn't disappoint considering the price. With little fixes this could have been really awesome tablet and I would have happily paid extra 50 bucks for those, but it is too late to complain. I hope archos reads it and improves the tablet.

So, after few months of usage, I guess I should update the review:
- The battery problem is solved by buying an external batter which is pocket sized and offers a quick charge and can be used with other electronics as well. So with about 40 bucks I can get 13 hours of run time now, so that is a must buy.
- I am in love with the button mapping software and it is really useful in mostly all games which support static controls.
- Boot time is still bad, and uneven, variates between 3 - 6 minutes.
- Mutitasking is still pain, if there is stuff downloading, every thing which uses internet slows down, i don't if it is wifi module or memory module. Definitely waiting for an update which could solve this issue.

Since the price is reduces, I would now recommend it.

It works fine but the D-Pad is made of four individual buttons and not as responsive as you would like. The analogue stick seems to have a tiny bit of lag. It's almost imperceptible, but you'll notice it in heavy gameplay. I use mine for SNES emulation exclusively and it works fine at that task.
