I am a writer on the go. I love spending time with my family, but there are times I get struck with an idea or something I want to type and I don't want to be tied down to the computer. My phone's screen is more than adequate enough so I can see what I'm typing. This keyboard works great for hanging out in the garage with my husband or on the couch while he watches a show. I can set it in my lap. We like to go camping and I can take it anywhere with me for times I'm alone at camp. It is worth the buy.

A great product for your Pad!

I got this product because I have trouble using the pad keyboard. I love it because it's portable. It takes only a few minutes to adjust to the keyboard size. There is one slight problem with the keyboard. Whoever designed it, put the right "Shift" key in the wrong spot. It should have been next to the "? /", like other keyboards. It's actually after the forms key & the up arrow key. As long as you remember to reach farther with your right pinky, you'll do fine.

K1280 Bluetooth Keyboard

This keyboard has several problems and after a few hours of trying to get it to work, I will try contacting the seller.

Pros:
-The device connects to an Acer Iconia A100.
-The keyboard is easy to type on and seems sturdy enough.

Cons:
-It will not charge (uses a USB charger).
-It will not stay powered on (when left plugged in to the computer).
-The bluetooth will not stay on.
-The device is not always recognized by a windows 7 computer.
-The device manual is very poorly written. The instructions in it are unclear. For example, it tells you to "put the batteries in the container" for the first step in using the device. The problem is that there is nowhere to put a battery and the device is supposed to include a rechargeable battery already.

I do not recommend this product. I will update this review when I receive a response from the seller.

*UPDATE*

The seller refunded my money for this product and asked me to revise the review for it. I changed it to three stars from one star, because of the possibility that it may have been just chance that I received a defective product, which is what they claimed.

I mainly bought this keyboard due to the layout - this keyboard is exactly what I was looking for: a keyboard with the ctrl-key all the way to the bottom left, and not an Fn key. Since I'm not using this with an Apple product, the non-Apple layout was a big part of the draw for me. Pretty much every other low-cost keyboard on Amazon is set up for Apple devices, with the bottom left keys having, left to right, Fn, Control, Option, Command. This keyboard swaps the Fn and Control, which is more consistent with non-Apple keyboards and more comfortable for me. As far as other complaints with the layout: yes, the backspace/delete setup is kind of goofy, but I got used to it quickly. The big fat enter key is kind of a nostalgic touch, and since I grew up on big mechanical IBM monsters with enter keys like that I wasn't too perturbed. I never, ever use my right-side shift, but I could see that being a big problem if you do.

The build quality of this keyboard is excellent. It feels sturdy, the quality of the plastic keys, switches and ports are good and the metal baseplate was a pleasant surprise. I completely expected this to be 100% plastic. The keys have a decent amount of travel, if not a bit too much, but keypresses are always definite and mis-presses are all but nonexistent after a few hours of type time on this. The full-sized keys are cramped, but I *wanted* a cramped keyboard. With the bag-stuffable form factor of this thing, it's either cramped full size keys or nice spread out miserable chiclets. I much prefer the former.

The bluetooth is top notch, no lag from even a few feet away and it is one of the fastest-linking bluetooth peripherals I've ever owned. I have yet to drain the battery after using it for about a week, but I'm not a super heavy user - I mainly whip this out for my Android tablet if I have to shoot off a quick e-mail or get on IRC briefly. It charges with a mini-USB, which is becoming somewhat of a rarity, but I have some of those sitting around. A micro-USB (or USB-C!) update would make this a perfect, future proof keyboard.

Simple to Use, Compact

PROS: Great Function, Sleek Form, "Throw-it-on-the-ground" Durability, Lithium Ion Battery!, Full Sized!

CONS: It's a tight fit for a full size keyboard, especially if you have big hands. Fast typists might find themselves missing a lot to begin with. I found myself hitting between buttons a lot.

NOTES: I've only paired this with Android. I'm assuming easy use with RT and W8, as it's in the title. Not tested with Apple products.

I pair this with my HTC One S. phone to take notes during my college classes. It works very well, though the compact design takes some getting used to compared to a non-compact full sized keyboard. (MAKE NO MISTAKE, this keyboard is full sized; it's compact because of not keeping much wiggle room between buttons though.) I also want to praise the lithium ion battery; I've charged in once in my two weeks owning the keyboard.

I've also managed to drop the keyboard on the floor once already. Didn't phase the keyboard, which feels very durable. The back is made of metal, which I appreciate.

If you're on the fence about this, just buy it. You won't regret it.

Great Bluetooth Keyboard

I bought this keyboard because I wanted something small enough to fit into the bag for my 10" Android tablet but didn't want a foldable keyboard.
I like to type with the keyboard in my lap and those bluetooth keyboards that fold just don't do it for me. I can still feel those move around no matter how well the sections lock together.
This is one continuous keyboard, no folding, unfolding or other mess to deal with. I love the on / off switch, no worries of the keyboard randomly typing while its traveling in my bag. The keys are a nice size, no tiny keys to try to press with just the tip of your little finger.
It was easy to pair to my tablet and it works great Also pressing a key feels like it should, no shallow key press leaving you wondering if you hit the key or not and none of that plastic chunk feeling when pressing a key that some keyboards have.
