I've been fairly impressed with a lot of basic stuff that comes from the Amazon Basics brand. Sure, it's just a normal keyboard and mouse, but what else do you need it to be? Comparing it to my other keyboard on my other computer, the only thing that I don't like is the smooth glossy surface. My other one is somewhat textured, so it doesn't get smudges and fingerprints all over it, like this one does.

Decent Basic Keyboard

As a professional transcriptionist, I'm extremely picky about my keyboards and am usually hesitant to purchase keyboards without testing them first. I need a light touch (just enough resistance to know I've hit the keys hard enough to make the letter appear), and something relatively quiet (120 words per minute can be pretty loud). Plus just the right keyboard can even increase my normal typing speed.

This is a decent basic keyboard. If I could type on this one, the touch would be okay.

I have three main criticisms of this product:
1) The USB cord is far too short
2) There are no little feet on the back of the keyboard to lift it up. It has a built-in stand, but it doesn't come nearly high enough.
3) The keys are too loud.

It's an okay, basic keyboard. If you're okay with that, then I would recommend this keyboard, but it just doesn't suit my needs.

One of the best USB keyboard and mouse combo that you can buy at this price. I use it now for my Desktop. Its elegant look and finish is excellent. You get this same quality only above Rs.1500/- +. The hotkeys and multimedia rich keyboard make your life easier. The keys are perfectly spaced for your finger which enables smooth typing. The mouse has matte finish while the keyboard has glossy look. To get more functionality of this keyboard, I used a windows application to tweak the keys. Some keys like 'Insert', 'PauseBreak' which I do not use or have never used is programmed for some other useful windows shortcut.

The keyboard and mouse cable is long enough to serve its purpose. Like with most keyboard and mouse, it does not require any drivers to work. It works best in all Windows operating systems. The mouse fits perfectly in your hand and does not need a mouse pad. Overall, I would suggest if you are confused about buying a branded keyboard mouse combo in the range of Rs.1000 to 1500/-, then you can totally go for this, 'Amazon Basics keyboard and mouse even when it is priced for Rs.1500/-.
