I bought this LAN adapter in 2015 and have been using it almost daily since then in Windows 10 laptops. 9 years of extremely stable and high speed performance, what else to say? The one I bought back then is different from the picture shown in the product page, has no LED light, but I assume it's the same chipset inside (screenshot of the one I bought is attached). The key is installing the right driver cleanly and keeping it updated. I'm attaching a screenshot of the needed driver which can be downloaded directly from the ASIX website. It's nice that ASIX has kept support for these drivers all these years, providing updated drivers yearly.

So I had tried 3 different types ethernet adapters with our Hisense smart tv and none of them worked. I was about to give up and watched a video showing a Cable Matters Plug & Play and thought why not give it one last shot. Well to my surprise it worked with no effort other than plugging it into our tv and connecting the ethernet cable. We went from 97mbps download and 22 mbps upload to an incredible 544 mbps download and 67 mbps upload speeds. Could not be happier, now I understand that your speeds will very depending on a number of factors and these are what we have personally experienced. The adapter is amazing and I highly recommend trying it.

Work's on 2021 LG C1 but.... Doesn't work on PS5.

I can confirm this product work's with the 2021 LG C1 TV. However my TV only has USB 2.0 and I only have a download max speed from my ISP that averages around 100Mbps.

The USB 3.0 (USB-A to RJ45) Adapter requires no software installation of any kind. It's simply plug-in-play. After my initial speed tests for my personal gains this product was not any different for me personally to keep due to the 2021 LG C1 TV only has a USB 2.0 port and does not increase the speed's of my internet to my TV than the built-in Ethernet port on the back of the TV. Sony has a new TV that support's USB 3.0.

• If you have a Gigabit Internet Speed and have USB 3.0 and above this product is a must have.

• If you own a laptop that doesn't have a Ethernet port this product is for you.

• If you have Gigabit Internet Speeds and 100 Mbps Ethernet port on your computer and have USB 3.0 and USB-A port this product is for you.

Overall a great product to have if it benefits you personally. My only personal grips would be the very short cable. It needs to be a few more inches longer. Maybe 2 to 3 inches longer.

Also to note: This device doesn't work with the PlayStation 5. I just had to try out since it was there to test.

Would rate the product higher if the cable was longer.

As mentioned in other reviews...This is a simple way to get around the 100mb limitation on the Ethernet cards in SONY TV's...
I just put this in a SONY XBR65 and it works great...so simple...just PLUG and go...
Before I used this I could ONLY get 90+MB through my HOME Ethernet, I have Gigabit service... Now I get 700-800MB connections...It REALLY makes a difference when jumping from one streaming service to another...ALL of the services LOAD much faster...

Do you have your TV connected to a Internet connection via an ethernet connection? If so, then you might be interested in this review. I'm an electronic tech and have always wondered why TV manufactures use NIC (network interface cards) limited to 100mb /sec. I'm pretty sure it's to save manufacturing costs. Anyway, I have always installed TV's in my house using an ethernet connection mostly because I HATE Wifi. (Yeah, I know, in some cases Wifi is necessary). After installing an ethernet cable to a new TV, I do a speed test with test equipment to insure the cable and connection (RJ-45) is good. I mostly use Cat 6 which is more speed than the TV will ever need.
After years of wondering why Netflix, Amazon Prime and other streaming services took so long to load the menu screen (I would always tell my self "it's the servers at their end that were busy"), I got to checking the Router and discovered that my TV that I had on was only connected at 100mb. After checking my ethernet cable again with my test equipment, all was good and that started the process of troubleshooting why the connection was not 1GB.
Found a YouTube video about someone talking about the same issue! This device was used in the video to solve the connection problem and the 100mb limitation. Plug this device into your TV (preferably a USB 3 port), the connect the ethernet cable in and you will have bypassed the TV's built-in NIC and will now have a full internet speed connection. I pay for 500mb /sec Internet and now GET 500mb /sec at the TV!
Installation was no more than plugging this device into the TV (into a USB port), then removing the ethernet cable from the TV and plugging it into this new device.
Menus now load MUCH faster which makes me MUCH happier.
And the best part is that it's very affordable.
