1. Scoop Water Based Pomade Out Of Jar Start by scooping a small amount, about the size of your finger nail, of Suavecito Pomade out of its jar.	2. Emulsify Pomade In Hands Work the pomade into your hands until it has been spread out evenly.	3. Apply Pomade To Hair Start by applying evenly across hair. Repeat steps 1-3 and reapply on an as needed basis. Generally, the more that is added the stronger the hold.	4. Style As Desired Comb pomade through hair with a medium to wide toothed comb until pomade is distributed evenly. Style as desired.

Just started the hair styling the journey and decided to try a few different products;
- Reuzel Extreme Hold
- Cremo High Hold Low Shine
- Smooth Viking Matte Finish and Medium Hold
- Suavecito Pomade Firme (Strong)

My hair is straight and typically short and spikey, but I grow it out to test other styles. 2 Tests (Scent, and Hold)

Started with Reuzel and although it worked okay it left me wanting more. The hold is strong, but depending on the style it doesn't always last all day. After about 7 or 8 hrs it may need some tweaking. And because its EXTREME you need a splash of water to loosen it up. The scent is described as a subtle sugary rum. Good, but not one I'd seek out

Cremo
Affordable which is always a plus: except when the product struggles to perform. Out of the four this one is the hardest to style, least likely to hold shape, and the smell isn't my first, second, or third choice (Maybe Hints of Smoky Vanilla and Tobacco/Bourbon) Can't say I've been a fan of the cremo scents I've tested.

Smooth Viking
More expensive than the other options. This one is a bit different than the rest because its a cream not a pomade or paste which makes it light and super easy to style. In doing so it sacrfices a bit of hold but its still strong enough under static conditions. However if there's any type of wind, you'll be constantly fidgeting with it. The smell is the worst of the bunch: tobacco scented Elmer's Glue?

Quite literally saved the best for last. Holy smokes this smells amazing (can't even describe it, but its what pomade should smell like) and the hold works excellent. Lasts all day. No complaints so far.

This stuff worked well as far as holding hair in place all day. The smell wasn’t great, but that is very subjective. The biggest problem was when standing outside with a group of people the gnats were drawn to me and not others. I was like Pigpen in Charlie Brown! So I’ll be trying something else, probably something unscented.

Seriously, this is a pomade?! Really?!
I've sported a classic side parting for years and have used my fair share of waxes and pomades during that time. After using oil based products I've stuck with American Crew's water based pomade for a long time, it's great if you can get your hands on a decent batch but after several dodgy products I started looked elsewhere. Google took me to Layrite and Suavecito which I ordered at the same time to try out and see what the fuss was about. Turns out both are overpriced rubbish.
This stuff is nicely packaged and smells great, that's where it ends. Yes the hold is outstanding but it dries rock hard and is impossible to rework. Once disturbed your hair is unsalvageable, especially if it's long.
This isn't a pomade, it washes out well but you can't put a comb through it once its set. This stuff is like cement. Once disturbed you end up with annoying, bone dry hair that won't stay in place.
Very expensive, if you want this effect, stick to cheap gel.

Im the guy who will get a product that's based on reviews but won't leave one so this product has to be great or terrible for me to leave a review.

I've gone through probably around 15-20 pomades to try and find the right balance of cost and quality product.
Suavecito is that product, it has a great hold which doesn't break down during the day, the product is easy to apply and it doesn't cause your hair to pull out when applying it, finally it smells great.

Take it from someone who's tried them all: this is the best pomade that you'll find.

(Imperial barber is my favourite but at twice the price it just isn't worth it)

I've got a bit of a habit of trying different pomades, so this was next on my list. The main stand out of this product for me is the smell, it smells amazing. It's easy to apply but quite greasy, and leaves a high shine! The pomade also dries hard, so it's not the easiest to restyle.

It loses a star as it pulls on the hair quite a bit, and is quite sticky so you end up with hairs in your hand... For this reason I will be sticking to Layrite!

I tried this after seeing a few positive reviews, and it's left me wondering why.

It smells ok, and is easy to apply, but once dry I found the hold and feel of my hair was no different than if I had used a cheap tub of gel. Yes, it will give a strong hold, but if you have an itch on your head, be very careful. As soon as it's disturbed, you have fluffy bits of dry hair alongside wet looking glued together hair.

It does wash out very easy, even if it rains, and will last a long time, but this is as far as I go with good points. I have seen an abundance of fakes on Chinese websites for very little money, and it's almost impossible to tell them apart. Maybe I got a fake, or maybe I just don't see the fuss!
