Not ok to add commercials when I can buy the disks without them. Done buying seasons this way, convenient but costly and I don't want commercials.

I bought this for my son who just loves the Simpson's. I have watched so many of these myself. They are all so entertaining. They started making the Simpsons in the 90's and you can still watch them 30 yrs later and laugh just as hard. They are at times oh so wrong, yet oh so funny.

As a longtime Simpsons fan / fanatic / zealot / historian / obsessive....I'm aware of and acquainted with much of the rhetoric surrounding the various "golden eras" and the schools of thought pointing to weaker epochs over the series' lifetime. Without offering my own take on why and where those particular lines exist (short version: yes, there were some seasons that showed struggle and transition)...I can only represent my strong and - I think - well-informed opinion: the writing and quality and overall experience of the show has made a dramatic and noticeable comeback in recent years....with a very pronounced return to outstanding physical comedy, the right mix of esoteric and accessible jokes, great character development (even in well-worn personages), and overall belly-laugh-out-loud-caliber quality and enjoyment. I heartily recommend picking this up....ESPECIALLY if you' haven't looked in in a while. Worth every penny and a true cultural treasure and institution. ENJOY!!

When I watch a show for free, advertisements are expected. When I pay full retail price for a digital copy, I expect it to be advertisement-free, especially when most of us pay by the data packet.

This show rocks. It's still funny after all these years. Amazon sells it for $30 instead of $45 everywhere else.

Remember when you were younger and The Simpsons had hearwarming and moving stories? That's been replaced by guest stars and Family Guy-Style hijinx.

Bring back the old Simpsons... when we actually cared about the family.
