Product description

These injection-molded nursery containers have heavy-duty wrap-around rims that are easy to handle and strong enough to pick up heavy plant material. Superior drainage is engineered into both side and bottom drain designs.

Squat Containers offer a wide base, which is ideal for shallow rooted plants and produces a better root ball. They also help to conserve water by capturing more during watering. Great for stacking and even greater for windy conditions.

NOTE: 10 gallons of loose soil will fit in this pot when compacted. Actual liquid volume is 9.6 gallons.

Heavy duty nursery pots

These 10 gallon plastic nursery pots are a heavy duty construction that you could plant small trees in without worrying about the pot collapsing or cracking. I have purchased them to fit into a 16" plastic display type planter that has no holes and this is supported over the rim of this planter, so that there is a 4" deep well beneath the pot to hold water that can be wicked up to the elevated potted plant. This will allow me to have indoor plants without watering constantly and it is contained so that there will be no spillage of water as would happen with pots that drain into a shallow water dish. The water has to be wicked via a fabric tape on the bottom of the nursery pot, otherwise, you just have stagnant water underneath the nursery pot. Be sure to lift from the bottom of the display planter, unless you want to lift only the nursery pot. I have also supported the weight of the plant by inserting a 4" tall plastic pot underneath to prevent sagging and warping of the nursery pot.

The product is top quality and the shipping charges extremely reasonable with FAST delivery.

The pots are heavy material, yet light in weight and the rim makes them easier to move around.
I expect these to hold up for many years.
