The series was fantastic—loved the colors and details! But now we’re stuck with the same old games, which is kind of a drag. It’d be cool to shake things up instead of playing the same Star Cup games all the time. I’ve been a fan since the beginning and play every day, always looking forward to the new maps each week. With six new levels coming out weekly, it stays fun! Hey Rovio, this game is super challenging—I’ve even won in the diamond and golden leagues! I’m always ready to jump back in, even after taking breaks. Thanks a ton! I’ve been gone for a couple of years, but I still think this game beats all the solitaire, bubble poppers, and even Sudoku, my favorite! Keep it up! I also upgraded my tablet storage, so I don’t have to manage my apps anymore.

I really enjoy challenging my friends every week and have been at it for years. The only thing that bugs me is that those annoying Flex Card ads keep freezing the game, even though I know ads are necessary as none of the other ads do that. The game itself is great and reminds me of when I played it years ago. Sometimes it glitches and the screen goes blue and black while I’m picking a level, but it’s still super easy to play. I’m on it every day, looking forward to the new maps each week. I’m totally hooked and can’t stop. The tournaments are a mess with issues like paid power-ups not showing up. I lose track of time playing, and the game just keeps getting better. Some folks say I’m addicted, but I don’t think so! Anyway, I’m ready for more birdies—bring it on, haha.

No way to update

Update to review below: have newest kindle version 10 and as others have stated this update not working. It works on my phone but not on kindle.

As many others have stated today, February 2, 2016 game says to update and cannot do so anywhere. Keeps bringing back to game to update after being sent to amazon apps with zero update button available, just to open which brings back to game to update over and over again. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

And thank you for getting in contact with us. To start of, we are truly sorry for the issues you have experienced with Angry Birds Friends recently.

There were changes made to the game that have caused it to become more resource intensive and this in turn has forced us to drop support for some devices that previously were supported by the game. The reason you are unable to update the game is due to the fact that your device is no longer compatible with Friends.

As technology develops and devices become relatively more high-end, the demand for feature rich games also goes up. This is a natural consequence of development and in order for us to keep up with this natural cycle, we have to make unfortunate decisions that affect our players in a very concrete and sometimes negative way. We are very sorry that there is really nothing we can do for you at this time. The device you are using is nearing the end of its life-cycle and in the future less and less games will continue to function normally and these devices will start to be left behind due to technological advancement.

We sincerely hope that you can enjoy AB Friends again on a different and compatible device soon.

This game is a great deal of fun and the idea that you are competing with players all over the world is intriguing. I liked the tournament long before they came up with this idea and used to play first thing every week. However, if you really want to ace the tournament you have no choice but to use any or all of your tokens on power ups which means that if you win you are right back where you started . Not doing it, sorry, and of course if you end up too far away from the top you get dumped into the level below where you started. I don't care for that either. But it's Free and it's amusing and unless you are daft you don't need to spend any real money on tokens. Just enjoy it win or lose. There are always people who will spend everything to be #1. I am not one of them.
