If you are fully, 100% ready for an idiotic movie with juvenile humor, then you are likely to find some (if not many!) portions of this movie funny. If you think buffoonery like Tosh.O or South Park is stupid and of no comedic value, skip this; you'll likely find it as worthless as so many of the professional critics.

However, if you know what you're getting into, which is a series of completely unrelated short comedies, with revolting and ridiculous themes, then it may be worth a watch. I did laugh far more than I thought I would.

One of the earlier skits consists of two people on a blind date, one of whom has a scrotum hanging from his neck, but appears to be unaware of it.

This movie is not Saving Private Ryan. It isn't Titanic or Lincoln. It is low-brow comedy trash. But it's good low-brow comedy trash.

There was an improv routine I saw, it was called "Too Far". The comedians would write an answer to a question on a board. Each one would reveal their answers; whichever answer got the audience to yell "too far" the loudest was the winner. That is exactly the premise behind Movie 43. The directors did sketches trying to offend the most people possible and when would they go "too far."

This is beyond question the rudest, crudest, nastiest, dumbest, worst movie I have ever seen. And I loved it. About half way through the film it dawned on me, they were doing the "Too Far" routine. I finally broke after the credits at the Beezel bit. I made it through all the nasty stuff, and laughed a lot. Beezel did it to me.

The movie is a set of sketches that are supposed to be a movie idea Dennis Quaid is pitching to Greg Kinnear. It has an all-star cast and somebody different directs each sketch. None of them have any redeeming social commentary, they are all crude. There is a single redeeming moment in the parking lot. The film breaks through to a moment of self-reflection. It's done surprisingly well.

Just be prepared, this is a nasty film. If you are anywhere near easily offended, pass on this one.

Recommended by a cohort of mine, not as funny as Team America, but close to it. Oh, the skits are not equally as funny, but overall I really enjoyed Movie 43. Enjoyed it so much so that I watched it twice within my 24 hour rental.

Granted, the humor isn't for everybody but name one comedy that is.

This movie is gross, vulgar, disgusting at times, and completely unapologetic. Having said that, there are some truly laugh-out-loud bits to be found. The fact that there are A-List stars reveling in this lunacy makes it even more ridiculous. Not sure how the reviews are so low, as every one I've shown this to has had just as much fun as I did.
I will admit that when I first saw it, the level of depravity on display distracted from the actually very funny stuff here. But after thinking of it later, I realized I wanted to watch it again, and then I really enjoyed it.
I was in a class for Broadcast TV Filming techniques, when the instructor showed us a commercial from Russia, to show the difference between what they could show on TV and what we Americans are allowed to see. I laughed out loud, as the "commercial" he showed was actually a bit from this movie.
If you like playing Cards Against Humanity, you may actually enjoy this crap.

This movie has quite a few laugh moments. Not really a date night move but definitely a guy movie. If your offended by sexual innuendo this movie is not for you. I enjoyed the creative skits and story line.

This movie is hilarious it reminds me of the Onion movie. I have shown the movie to so many people they all find it funny as hell. The skits are hilarious
The one with Emma Stone at the checkout was hilarious. The guy who plays truth or dare with Halle Berry and the skit with Beezel the cat is the best. The whole bit where the guy pulls a gun and forces the guy to service the security guard twice. It's a mashup of mini shorts that are all funny as the last of not funnier. Great movie to make people watch to get laughs at a party smokeout or smoke with your girl or boyfriend and have a few good laughs. Heck of alot of excellent actors and actresses & comedians. The skit with Huge Jackman and Kate Winslet at the restaurant will have you in tears and that is just the first of like 10 short skits. The new Ipod or Ibabe is ridiculous and the leprechaun s*** with Sean William Scott & Johnny Knoxville is funny i'm sure the guys will enjoy it. This is a comedy that does not let up on the hilarity, you will laugh for the length of the movie.

This is the "Kentucky Fried Movie" or "Groove Tube" for this generation. Normally this type of crude humor is done by unknowns looking to start a career and not by Hollywood's elite looking to end their career. There are numerous skits, most of which concern sex in one way or another. Some are cruder than others, some are out right funny while others you might find disgusting.

If you are turned off by crude humor, you should avoid this film. However, if you love the crude humor of modern films, this one will keep you in stitches.

Parental Guide: F-bomb and nudity.
