I settled on this unit to use with a 16 foot LED light strip that didn't have its own power supply with it. To be honest I wasn't totally thrilled with any of the options I was seeing on Amazon - meaning that none were jumping out to me as the "clear" winner for a safe and reliable transformer. I am a bit more picky about this type of product than most as I definitely don't want an adapter that melts on me and could potentially start a fire!

The majority of reviews on this product were positive and it wasn't *so* cheap that I had doubts about possible quality so I decided to go for it. I have been checking on this strip daily since installing it about 10 days ago. I don't generally run it for more than four hours of a time so I can't speak as to how it would fare if left on nonstop, but I am feeling comfortable with it for occasional use and not noticing any heat issues. If it does fail I will update my review but for now I'm a very satisfied customer. I will be buying a couple more of these to install light strips in other locations.

I ordered this to go with her Light strip. it worked great so far and my daughter now has a bright red light strip across the top of her room which she loves. if I have any problems with this in the future I will contact the seller to try to get the issue repaired and if that falls through then I will update my review.

I have 4 of these units installed on top of and inside my kitchen cabinets serving LED strings for countertop and overhead. They work perfectly. Slight delay when turning on. None are supplying strings longer than 16', and a couple supply only about 4' of LEDs, and there does seem to be a difference in the resulting transformer temperature - those supplying more power run hotter. But not really hot in any case, even when installed inside cabinets. The long AC and DC cords are VERY convenient, allowing the transformers to be installed well away from the LED strips themselves. So far very satisfied after about 1 month of use - will update if I have any problems.

I bought these to match the LE power under cabinet LED puck lights (3 leds in aluminum puck, 25W equivilent light)

Supply worked straight away and provided good clean power for the LEDs. However the LEDs were too bright compared to my 25watt halogens they are going to replace so I tested with lower voltage. 9V seemed to be good, so I modified this unit to produce 9V by changing a resistor in the supply feedback loop on the inside the device. I'm a electrical design engineer with long power supply design experience so I felt comfortable doing this and voiding my warranty. not for novices due to the high voltage present on the input side.

I did find a few cold solder joints on the heavy pins (transformer, inductors ,etc) that tool very little effort to break free. I suspect the failures reported are due to these since they were directIy in line with the part that supplies current to the output. I touched all these up with the soldering iron before reassembling the cover. It does take damaging the cover to get it off so forget warranty if you go this route.

Overall does what I needed it to do. Should be able to power 4-6 pucks from this guy.

This plug fit perfectly and powered the control board without any issue at all. The length is decent seeing as I plan on being relatively close to a power source but if your looking to be greater than 4 feet away from your power source, this might be a stretch.

The construction is good and the wiring feels of good quality. Under load the brick does not get super hot. Then again, I am only powering a monitor, if your using this with a higher power demand, my experience will probably not match yours. Thats more of a theory than a fact though.

For me and my project, this was exactly what I needed to see it through to the next level. Delivery was swift and the item was well packaged. Honestly, I have no gripes about the item. Thank you for a great product and experience.

It's still on and working, just barely illuminated. Ok - the bottom row just lit up as I was writing this review. Maybe they take some time to warn up. Plus, one of the lights in the top row has gone yellow in less than a day. Not awful since I did this project on a budget. But the low price tag almost isn't worth the frustration I went through to get the lights to function correctly. They are good lights, just be aware that your project may not turn out to be as simple to put together as you may think. Below is a picture of my lights fully illuminated yesterday, and then today before the bottom row turned on (took about 5 mins). Couldn't get a good pic of the one yellow light as the rest of the LEDs are so bright it wouldn't pick up on my camera.
