Works fine, but don't count on it lasting very long. I have one at my desk that has worked fine for a while -- no issues. I have one that I carry in my laptop bag for when I am on the road. I bought a batch of 5 of these and am down to my last one in about 2 years.

The one on my desk -- running strong at 2 years. The one in my bag, on my 4th one in 2 years.

Not much to say. Works well with my T460P. Saved me a bundle of money not having to upgrade my power adapters (I leave several around the house).

4 Stars because the back half of the adapter that plugs in to the old style lead seems to loose its grip over time. On many occasions it has broken free while my stationary laptop sits at my desk. Nothing a little electrical tape couldn't fix, but still sort of annoying.

Not Just For X1 Carbon

Got a Thinkpad T440S for work and discovered Lenovo changed to the new rectangular shaped power plug on this model. My last 3 Thinkpads used round style connector, so I have a bunch of the old style power adapters that cannot be used with this new Thinkpad. I like to keep one power adapter in my travel bag, one in the office, one at home office, one in bedroom, etc. I was going to have to buy a bunch of new power adapters with the right connector if I wanted to have spares in the same places as before.

That's when I found this adapter. I was a little skeptical at first, but bought 3 of them anyway figuring I could send them back if they weren't the right connector or weren't what I was looking for. To my surprise they work like a charm!! The quality appears to be top notch, but time will tell on this point. Will report back if I find any issues with quality or longevity. They fit very tightly onto the round connector, so there is very little concern they will come loose and get lost. I put electrical tape over the joint anyway just to be safe.

I am very happy to be able to use these old adapters for a fraction of the price it would cost to buy new adapters!!

If you're like me, you've had thinkpads for years. I have a lot of the old power supplies, but when I got my new thinkpad (Yoga 460), it had the rectangular plug. This is a lot cheaper than getting new adapters.

I like this concept because it's a lot less wasteful. Why throw away all those adapters if they are 100% functional otherwise?

Just what was needed for the Lenovo T440s

I upgraded from a Lenovo T410s to a T440s and was surprised that the power adaptors for the two Lenovo Thinkpads were incompatible. I have abou 5 power adaptors (power supplies) for my T410s and was upset that I might have to buy a whole new set of adaptors for all the locations I use my computer. Lenovo said there were no adaptors to convert the round T410s power plug to the new rectangle power plug & I would have to buy new power adaptors even thought the machines used the same 20VDC power.

Fortunately I found this power converter cable on the web and at Amazon. It works GREAT for the T440s even though it is marketed for the ThinkPad X1 ! Now I can use the same power supply for both my T410s and T440s with this simple adaptor. It will save me a lot of money and aggravation.
