This is an interesting show. It shows how a restaurant is run with the owner or manager isnt there and sometimes it makes you wonder how some of these places survive at all. The owners are usually pretty decent people and the targets arent. It is a pretty well made show and at 30 minutes per episode you get a pretty quick bite of something and can then be on your way. I like this show. I like seeing how things are run and how they can be run better. If you like shows where people get their acts cleaned up and come out better for it then this is for you.
I see several articles that this is fake. If it is, it is a good fake. I am in business and thought I had seen everything until I saw these. The common denometer is "justification" Every dishonest employee trys to justify their actions like Two Gun Crowley in How to win friends. Very interesting
Listen, this is interesting mindless entertainment. I tuned in expecting a different type of show. Regardless, it keeps you tuned in. But if your looking for a 'Reality' type programming, this is not the genre. It's definitely a scripted show with actors hired to play a role....some lacking believable talent when doing so.
I find this show not to be a fake despite some claims that it is. I've worked in restaurants most of my life and I witnessed first hand some of the stuff that goes on. Sadly most places do not have cameras and that is why most of the people get away. This is a good show for anyone to watch who is going into Culinary School because chances are they will start up a restaurant of their own or for those who are about to open up a restaurant in the near future so they can see what they could possibly deal with.
