Bought this last spring and was drinking it while it was cool out. Stopped when it got hot. Just started drinking it again this fall and still really like this Cacao. I use 1 cup organic whole milk, no skimping, my only dairy.1 cup spring water, loaded with nano particles of plastic, can't help it as our water is questionable.Doesn't say Fair Trade Certified, but comes from privately owned family farms, so maybe it doesn't need to. Farming is a hard job. Been there. Done that. Is Organic, as it comes from a tree so doesn't get toxic fertilizer dumped on them constantly. Hopefully. Says that it is routinely tested for quality, but it must have to be tested to be organic. You should see the Complete test results for my CBDFX gummies. Each batch tested. Complete public knowledge. Pages long, a to z tested. I not sure where these test results are? As you're located in Scottsdale AZ, there's a great testing facility right there in Phoenix AZ thats right by you. Ethos Analytics. Sure would like to know what I'm drinking twice a day. Morning and night. Sure is a great way to start your day though. I also mix in my morning CKJ ginseng extract, It's thick as tar, but dissolves and molasses for an awesome tasting way to enjoy all the dark earthy tastes in one cup. Actually, I make two cups because I use a lot of cacao. Warms you up, picks you up and is very good for you. What's not to like! ALSO read heat harms all the good stuff in cacao, cocoa, etc. I don't put my cacao in a pot and boil it and boil it. I put my 2 cups water/milk in glass anchor hocking and microwave for 3 minutes. It gets hot but doesn't boil. Pour it in mug with cacao, stir. No boiling. Needs to be stirred as drinking 1-2 times. Best way I can find to have a hot drink without harming all the nutrients. I have never been a coffee drinker and could never understand people needing/wanting their cuppa coffee first thing in the morning. Gotta have it! Now I understand! And its not just the caffeine. This has some caffeine, but two hours before bed, my second mug, I sleep great. Cuppa coffee, I'd still be reading at midnight. Might be the milk, might be all the goodness in cacao. Really lovin this stuff!

I love love love this cacao chocolate! This is my second time buying this particular cacao chocolate from this company! I actually received this second purchase at a discount in exchange for an honest review so I'll give you all of the details so that you know what you're getting and some great ways to use it before buying, which I highly recommend! This is a very finely ground all natural cacao powder, so upon opening make sure it has settled for a moment otherwise it will produce a DELICIOUS smelling cloud that will dust your counter! Not so much that you have a bad experience and seriously minimal clean up but just a tip so you know what to expect. There are no additives so it is bitter to the taste but a little sugar (Like this awesome organic, no calorie stevia Organic Enzo Stevia Powder 100% All Natural 0 Calories 320 Times Sweeter Than Sugar Extract ) and it tastes like milk chocolate with more benefits than dark chocolate! I've used this for making chocolate cake (rich, moist, and delicious!), chocolate frosting (YUM!), chocolate and orange & chocolate and mint chapsticks ( a super treat that smoothes and conditions your lips and glides effortlessly while tasting great) adding this mixed with cornstarch or arrowroot powder makes a great light weight facial bronzer that smells amazing and with the right amounts can be used on skin colors from porcelain to those with a deep chocolate color, you can also add a little golden mica for a Sunkist ed bronzer. I've also used it to make body butter for Christmas time and in the spring/summer I use this to make body bronzer that is literally amazing and restoring! Those who have sampled and purchased my products rave about the chocolate variations and this cacao chocolate is my secret weapon! To make the bronzer which is my hottest seller, you just need Jojoba oil (Great non-porous clogging moisturizer), this cacao powder (skin conditioner, and repairer that also gives the color and added the benefits directly to your body and you can get the hormone balance benefits without the calories by adding to you skin) , melted shea butter (deep conditioner) with just a little beeswax(lotion stabilizer and protection for your skin), vitamin E (moisturizer and preservative) red raspberry seed (for spf 15) peppermint (keeps it light feeling and cleanses pores) and carrot seed (repairs skin) essential oils. I listed these according to amounts. Play around with amounts until you get a blend that is right for you and don't worry if it appears very dark it lightens as you rub in leaving you with a nice golden tan glow. This cacao is such a healthy form of chocolate that you can feel great about treating yourself with it whether you bake with it, put it on your face or skin or lips you will recieve so many benefits that you will feel amazingly pampered and balanced!
2-2023 Below is my previous comment about the packaging. Thankfully, they have now returned to the GOOD packaging. It does not break or crack easily - and it seals. It is still the same WONDERFUL product. My husband and I both continue to use it every day. We have now used at least 14 5-# bags.
Packaging has changed!!!! This is my 11th bag of Healthworks Cacao Powder. For the first time, I have a complaint. The new bag does not seal properly; but most importantly, the bag tears very easily. Mine now has several holes in it - and I keep it inside another plastic bag for protection. The cacao is still great.
This is at least my 4th, maybe 5th, 5# bag of healthworks Cacao powder. I use it every day in my coffee. Sometimes I make hot or cold chocolate milk. And occasionally I make a dessert. It is really great. There is no bitter taste. As well as tasting great, it is a good antioxidant, high in iron, magnesium, and calcium. I will continue to use this product as long as it is available!
2 1/2 years ago: I was surprised at how big a 5# bag is! But I have just used up the 2# bag, so I wanted to have plenty on hand. I LOVE this Cacao. It mixes well in hot water, milk, or coffee. It is also loaded with antioxidants. I make myself a drink of coffee, cinnamon (also an antioxidant), cacao, stevia, and cream. I put it in the refrigerator and drink as a cold drink - shake first as ingredients tend to settle. Delicious! I also use it making a non-grain based cake.
